Unreal Track 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Sep 4, 2016 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Very picturesque. Entire course is deep in the forest. The course is definitely challenging, but there are a few holes with birdie opportunities. I can't say I've played many courses, but this is easily the best course I've played.

Cons:

Some of the tee boxes & maps of holes have been vandalized so if you don't know the course that well, you could get lost or play the wrong hole.

Other Thoughts:

Can't wait to get back there!

I'd suggest grabbing some food & beers after the round at the 'Boat House' (Viamede Resort pub). Stunning view of Stoney Lake.

Most beautiful course in Ontario 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Oct 9, 2016 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

In the heart of the Canadian Shield this course is covered in natural beauty! All the trees! Stunning in autumn. Endless moss-covered rock cuts. Muscle-building elevation changes. The physical landscape is a nature hikers dream come true. The course is very challenging, but people can't wait to return.

Cons:

9 of the baskets are older, not great baskets. Chain are heavy by today's standards and rusted out. Great work has been done to manicure the course but the tee pads are logged in and dirt or mulch surface.

Other Thoughts:

This course is on the property of Viamede Resort.

yup, that's a wooded course... 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 30, 2015 Played the course:once

Pros:

Spectactular geography, good use of uphill and downhill, the moss covered giant boulders and crevasses are other worldly...

Cons:

Tightly wooded, rugged tee's

Other Thoughts:

There was evidently a tonne of work done to carve this challenging course out of a Oak and Ironwood forest...
