Other Thoughts:
Yes, it's just a wide open park with five baskets and no tees, but when you play the nine hole layout, you might notice:
~ A variety of distances, ranging from 138' and 160' (hello, beginners) to over 350' (soft par 4's, but still fun to throw). And a handful of 220' - 250' scattered in. It's not a simple pitch and putt - and it's kind of a good mix
~ Only two flat holes. Most of them play along a slope from the main playing fields down to a large pond. Although the elevation isn't dramatic, it has to be considered on seven of the nine teeshots
~ WIth no tees or signage, and multi-use of several baskets, navigating by uDisc is essential
~ The appropriately-named Voluntown Field is barely a course, and only a bagging stop for experienced players. But it's a fun place to learn the game and to test your skills without getting into trouble
