Pros:
As with all disc golf courses at schools, this is great exposure for students to disc golf. I have to say that this one does that quite well. Most all the holes are excellently designed for the target audience. Of all the school courses I've played, this one does short, interesting, wooded holes, aimed at elementary school kids the best. Holes 2 through 14 could be the template for just that kind of thing. I can't imagine a better set of holes to introduce that demographic to disc golf.
The tee signs were numbered and also had hole lengths, and there were pretty well done next tee arrows throughout the wooded holes.
Cons:
While the wooded holes are fantastic, if really short, the last four holes not so much. They were basically open holes with minimal shot shaping required. I thought hole 17 could be a potentially dangerous hole, with a blind basket down a slope, and throwing down part of a side of the building with a blind corner of said building about halfway between the tee and the basket. Hole 18 plays along the side of a playground, but not terribly close, with a damp weed filled ditch on the other side.
Other Thoughts:
The course seems to have been redesigned relatively recently as of June 2020. I don't know what the history of the course is, but what I played was not exactly the course on the course map at the course (or listed on here). There are now more holes in the woods, which this course does very well, and all of the holes that appear to have played around and alongside of the ball fields are gone. I also noticed three baskets which seemed to have neither numbers on them, nor any tee that I could find. One did say ''Practice Basket''. Navigation was pretty easy, even with some circuitous walks to the next tee, and without an updated map.
I could totally see myself coming back to play here, even as relatively short and easy as the course is. It doesn't try to be something it's not. For what the course is charged with doing, it does extremely well.
