Pros:
-- Multiple tee pads. Long (blue) are concrete; they are very wide but not quite as long as they could be. Short (red) are dirt.
-- Restrooms in the park.
-- Excellent use of natural features. Rolling hills are well used as is a small pond and a creek (mostly dry in March 2022). While not heavily wooded, trees are also well used.
-- Longer course (from the blues, six holes longer than 400 feet and another four longer than 375).
-- Hole 1 is a good opener (more than 400 feet from either tee) with a direct line over the edge of a small pond and trees guarding the front edge of the pond. Hole 8 plays along a creek (dry in March 2022), and 16 is a cool 500-foot downhill throw (if you can figure out the correct basket).
Cons:
-- Navigation is the biggest issue, and it is HUGE. No map at the course, and the map on this site seems out of date. In addition, tee signs are at most a number on a post; many of the numbers are missing or unreadable.
-- Using the map, we found holes 1-10 with only moderate difficulty, but good luck after that. We stumbled upon hole 10A (which based on signage made us think it was added for a tournament; turns out it's probably permanent), but the next hole we found was 16. The map here was of NO help finding holes 11-15.
-- Baskets are mostly not numbered, so plenty of times you have to guess which basket you should should throw to. Hole 16 is the worst of these with two baskets in sight about 40-50 feet from each other.
Other Thoughts:
-- Restrooms at 4/5 are closed (not operational?), but there are functional restrooms across the street from the 18 basket.
-- Next tee signs under most baskets SHOULD point you in the right direction, but they are movable, so they often don't help.
-- Hole 18 (the last hole because you've got 10A and 10B) has two concrete tee pads (one with no sign of any kind that is less then 20 feet from the 17 basket).
-- The individual holes are fun and could easily make this a 3- or 3.5-disc course, but the navigation issues really bring the rating down.
-- With only three courses (two of them 9-holers) in a city of 350,000 people, expect a crowd.
