[Innova] Is there an understable blizzard disc?

Dominator, Katana, Wraith...

I have found a few Apes that were real flippy too, but it seems like a fluke, because others I have are meat hooks.

I would say Katana. I threw my buddies and it turned into a roller 150 out and proceeded to travel another 300 feet down the fairway.

I had an (early?) Katana that was _very_ understable at ~130 g. I have two (later?) Katanas that are _very_ overstable at 130 g and 132 g. Complete meat hooks. Thrown slowly (just tossed - strangest looking thing) or thrown medium hard.

They seem very unpredictable. I've heard other stories along these lines (for Katana's even, was it? down to understability in early models, overstability in later).

I've heard claims of an understable Blizzard Krait.

why not throw the old roadrunner huh? no blizzard needed. hell, valks and beasts, all friendly non blizzard technology, solid good stuff

It's probably my poor form but the few blizzard discs I've tried all just turned and burned. Maybe it was because they were really light weight but isn't that the point.

Wow I must be completely broken then, cause I can't turn over ANY blizzard discs, yes I've thrown them all (Innova), and I get absolutely NO added distance to my drives.

The blizzard plastic settles and cools so unpredictably, you just have to buy and try. The blizzard katanas are your best bet. Blizzards break in weird too. The bubbles in the rim pop and the edges get ragged, causing sudden loss of stability. For an under stable disc at high speed, a 165 dx destroyer beats in to a flip monster after awhile. A light weight mamba will flip out of the box.

Katanas are not meat hooks. you are just not throwing them properly. Katanas are overstable at low speeds, so if it is a meat hook for you, then you are never getting near enough power on it. I am guessing you are throwing them 250 feet.

I can't agree enough, unfortunately I have no means of video taping. Otherwise I'd be all over it. I think I'm just going to redo it from the ground up, starting with the Dan Beato way. /endthreadjack

Sounds like a form issue. Take a video and head over to the Technique forum for analysis.

Instead of blizzard, get a mamba if you want understable. I'd try it in max weight first, but they're available all the way down to 150.

i believe they just released some starlite roadrunners.. i saw them online somewhere.. not blizzard but kinda similar but star plastic.. at least from what i read
