Has being stuck with Innova molds ruined nikko's game?

What happened to this guy this year, maybe its me but he has not had a strong year at all, Is he injured or did he get a real job and is not doing touring or just losing some molds crapped out his game?


what do you think?
 
He has been fighting back injury virtually all year. Think he just suffered another injury as well.
 
I don't think it has anything to do with his molds. He threw plenty of Innova before. I think its just an off year for him.
 
Yeah he dnf a tourney that he was playing well in. Since then he has only been amazing but not as amazing as his fans expect.
 
I caddied for him at SOKY when he DNF'd the final 2 rounds. He wasn't playing terrible (two 49's, both 1000 rated) but he was clearly in pain. He kept saying "I would usually throw this here" and things like that.

He threw innova for the most part anyway, he's a tough competitor he will bounce back. He will be a top player for many years to come.
 
No. Could have something to do with what happens in the last 30 seconds of this video though. He DNF'ed the next tourney after that incident and that's when his game took a dump.

 
i think i heard he hurt his back doing something fooling around not playing disc golf. i don't know him but i think that is what i heard. wrestling or rock climbing i think.

Looks like the wrestling could have caused some minor damage to the muscles and connective tissues in his core. Do something else stupid before that stuff clears up and you can wind up with a serious injury. Because of the timing, it seems likely it was a contributing factor, but I don't have any other information besides the images in that video. I wouldn't be surprised if there was more to the story.

Someone needs to show those girls how to wrestle.
 
Ok, well when I was at masters cup I heard him say a few things that I wont repeat. But he did say that he doesn't care what anyone says, that the Legacy Cannon purple pop tops are the farthest flying disc in the game, and that his putters are "Horrendous"....not saying anything else.
 
yeah I'm gonna go with injury. I've been surprised about how many top pros have switched sponsors and still excelled. You have to remember that these guys are at the top of this game. Nikko could switch to all Discraft tomorrow and still be awesome (barring injury of course).

some examples:
Jesper Lundmark: Innova -> Latitude 64°
Michael Johansen: Innova -> Discraft
Paul Ulibarri: Discraft -> Innova

There are many more that I can't think of. It doesn't have to do with the molds it has to do with the player. This is true for us Ams too.
