Look up Beach Sports Network . . . my guess is that it is not on every cable providers list. I know I wont get it.

The next edition of Obscure Sports Quarterly should have a full write-up

Dangit. Came here to post about OSQ. Beat me to it. It will premiere along with midget tossing.

Anyway, still haven't been able to find what actual T.V. stations will be carrying this. You can probably watch it online.

I don't know about the Memorial being on TV, but Disc Golf Planet tv has stated they will be live streaming it on the internet.

From Facebook:

In just THREE WEEKS...DiscGolfPlanet.tv will launch our first LIVE Internet broadcast of the 2013 disc golf season in Scottsdale/Fountain Hills, Arizona at The Memorial Championship presented by Discraft. http://www.livestream.com/discgolfplanet You can enjoy some of last year's coverage from our streaming archive on DGPtv. --The DGPtv Crew

They usually put stuff in the archive really quick.

It should be noted that there isn't going to be any live coverage broadcast on any TV network. The only way to get any live coverage is still online through DGPtv.

The TV stuff is going to be taped and edited for a half-hour or hour long program, and I'm sure there will be numerous threads promoting those shows when they are ready to air...doubt anyone will miss it because they didn't know it was going to be on. Missing it because it's unavailable on your cable or satellite provider is more likely than not knowing when it will be on.

Well deserved and worthwhile.....Ultimate is much more entertaining to watch than DG and much easier to provide compelling coverage for.

Perhaps my post came across wrong. I'm not saying they don't deserve the coverage, just reporting. I like watching it too.

No - your post was fine. I was just giving a high-five to our brother Ultimate since he is deserving of the coverage (and my opinion is that we are not as watchable).

The ONLY reasons I would ever watch DG over Ultimate (it would be great to have that choice on a regular basis) would be to watch players I know and love and/or courses I know and love.

Did/do you play ultimate? I've had little exposure to it honestly.

Because, to be devil's advocate here, I'd rather watch curling than ultimate.

Golf with frisbees does more for me personally than football with a pviot foot and no hitting with frisbees. No hate, I respect the game, fitness and skill wise, don't get me wrong. I did play a little in college, but it featured all the things in sports I'm bad at (speed, running endurance, body control) and none of the sports skills I'm better at (like knocking the crap out of people, shoving big people in directions they don't want to go, etc. lol.)

But the only reason I'd watch Ult over DG (as if the choice were there, as you say,) is if it was the Ultimate Frisbee Lingerie Bowl. Perhaps this coverage will change my perspective.

Ultimate is also much easier to cover on TV because it occurs in a confined, defined space. As much as we all love the outdoor aspect of disc golf, it makes it difficult to broadcast.
