[Discraft] 10 Year Anniversary Buzzz

If the current demand is any indication i think they will go up. Some will, get lost, inked, put away for years and the supply will drop even more making price go up even if demand tails of a little.

Makes me wonder. When they decide to do run of say, star teebirds, how do they decide how many to make?

The current demand is driven in part by collectors hoping that they will gain value. Time will tell how they actually fly compared to a normal run Z Buzzz. Unique flight/feel is what really drives resale prices.

I'm a big fan of Justin @ community, but I thought I'd throw in something...

My pre-order experience with him was great in the sense that he worked hard to get me what I wanted, was very responsive, kept me and the rest updated on his status.

The "downside/risk" of doing preoder with him, IMO, is that he's not one of the 800 lb gorillas of online retailers.

Hence, Marshall St already has a 2nd shipment, and Justin doesn't have his first yet. Not his fault. Arguable, not DC's fault, though that's more debateable, IMO. The manufacturer is going to hook up whoever sells the most of their stuff, I.E. the bigger online retailers.

Working with a "smaller" guy is a bit of a mixed blessing.

To be clear, I've got nothing but good things to say about Community, and will continue to give him my bidness.

Just got two from DD I ordered on Monday. The blue is nice but the pink one is the clear winner in this batch. I'm patiently  waiting for 2 I ordered from CD.

Very nice, that pink one is legit!

I'm guessing Marshall Street stashed a few away from the initial shipment. It's highly unlikely that they actually got two shipments.

Where can I find a blue one? I want to add one to my stash. :)

^woah!

On another note, I spoke to Volo over the phone today about adding a couple Wizards to my Buzzz 10 order. He said they expect to have their buzzes in tomorrow or saturday, just fyi.:D

Holy stash. Are those ghost stamps or no stamps? Discraft needs cooler foils to work with.

...When it was originally announced, I was excited and wanted to get a couple. Now I want nothing to do with them.

This is the boat I'm in. I still love the Buzzz, and it bums me out that I couldn't grab 4 or 5 to throw. I understand that these were a limited run, and with that comes an obvious manufactured collectiblity. But I guess I was hoping this would turn out different. I was hoping that this would be more of a celebration of the Buzzz, an opportunity for those who didn't get a chance to enjoy the first runs to get in on part of the "magic". But in reality, I feel like the majority of average players were just left out in the cold. I'm not saying Discraft owes it to anyone to do things differently. It just would have been nice if this was a little more accessible for people to be a part of.

So are these things going to be all gone from store shelves in the very near future? Was hoping to pick a couple up but wanted to wait a week.

I really wish Discraft would've made this a yearlong run. Celebrate the tenth year of the Buzzz with a year of retro stamps. The hype and excitement will still be there, but the mad rush to grab as many as possible wouldn't be so pronounced.

At this point I look at these discs with disdain, simply for how this whole fiasco went down. When it was originally announced, I was excited and wanted to get a couple. Now I want nothing to do with them.

What exactly was a fiasco? That a bunch of DGCR members tried to cut corners playing the disc stock market and then got burned?

I ordered mine on March 1st, at the regular ol' preorder price of $19.99 and they'll be in my hands tomorrow.

wow, I don't want to read 18 pages since I last logged in. Anyone wanna point me to the page where reviews of how the discs fly start please? Would be grateful.

My thoughts:

Throwing:
I played a round with a yellow one yesterday. Amazing amounts of stability, what I mean by this is if you throw it straight it goes straight if you throw hyzer it goes hyzer if you throw an anhyzer it holds the line. Thrown with a little hyzer and a bunch of power it flips to straight. Thrown with a bunch of hyzer it does not flip all the way up. Seemed to like smooth releases if being thrown straight, guy I went with kept hitting trees off to the left when he was trying to throw flat straight, his releases is violent.

Feel:
The feel can be equated to stroking a baby seal after saving it from a clubbing party. But in seriousness the plastic feels grippier than current run. I would also say it feels a little softer but it is actually harder to taco than current run. Similiar to how ESP FLX plastic is really soft but actually takes higher pounds of pressure to taco. My is super flat.

I agree but I'm a average player and I now have a chance to get in on the magic. With that said however though its only because I popped back in here at the right time and followed a few cool local places on Facebook that mentioned them. Otherwise they would have come and gone and I have been waiting and wanting again.
