I've made a few additions. I put in the U channel from my Discarrier, and the Innova scout 6 disc insert in the GGIS, like that a lot.
I don't use the main flap pocket anymore. I like to have it really loose.
Here's a pick with 30 discs, very comfortable. I love this bag.
I'm going to rig a stiffer insert along the GGIS, the stock one is to soft. Now normally I have the top pocket stuffed, which keeps the insert from flexing, but if it's empty it folds right in half

What insert are you talking about? Did you change or add Velcro for the accordion insert? Sorry for all the questions. I'm really interested in this bag since they have the discount this week.
It's the top part he's referring to as the go get it slot (ggis) which just has a single insert for holding few putters separately but the area it's very big and he is filling it out. Few small adjustments can be made so those areas work as you need. Velcro secures high and low on the back of the bag where ggis sits.

Oh ya the $160! Totally worth it. I did a review when I first got it. So if you see where my Dynamic patch is, there's a hard insert that goes around the GGIS right there, it's just a little soft. I accidentally bent mine, it's not a big deal at all I just wish it was stiffer. The accordion insert is the INNOVA scout I was talking about. It does Velcro in, but it doesn't really need it, it doesn't fall out, I shifted it in the picture do you can see it. Here's the review so did. http://youtu.be/GLSBCLiiEoA
You won't find a bigger bag of similar quality for the sale price that's for sure.

Is the Discarrier U channel bigger than one from a Fade tourney?

I'm not 100% sure. I believe the Discarrier is a little bigger. I believe a Deluxe is 18" a competition is 20" and a Discarrier is 22" something like that. So the Tourney is going to be around the 20"

With the $50 you'd save you could buy the 6 disc accordion insert for $10 and the Discarrier Uchannel is also $10 I believe.

That cross piece I think you guys are talking about (the one with the salient stitching on it) is going to be made pretty ridged in the future when we decide to do a redesign.

Yes, I'm excited for v2. Thicker back padding too! Definetely will pick one up when it comes. Some cool color variations would be cool also. Like the Ranger packs.

I remember when I unpacked mine, I felt a little let down. It needs to break in and stretch it out. Fill it up and let it sit over night. I've been incredibly happy with mine. Even if I'm only using 20 discs, I take it over my Deluxe or Discarrier.

That is the first thing I plan on doing. With work and school I really only get to play on weekends right now, so it is going to sit completely full for a few days before I take it out. I am going from a Fade tourney to the Helix. I also have a DIY backpack, but it only holds 14-15 max. I figured I will keep it for short rounds and use the Helix for any real round or field practice days. The Fade tourney may get sold or traded.

I thought Id keep my deluxe, and sell the discarrier, but I may just sell the deluxe too. I haven't used any other bag. We'll see how hot it gets this summer, I may want to go to a lighter pack then.

I got my bag tonight. It is pretty sweet. From what everyone was saying I was kinda expecting it to be a little bigger, but I am glad it isn't huge. It fits everything I need and then some. My Fade tourney u-channel insert with dividers is a little too small, so I doubt I'm going to use it. I may just use a piece of pool noodle foam to fill the small gap behind the discs, but I will have to mess with it a little to figure it out. Great job Salient the bag is very nice and I can't wait to get out and use it. Where is the warranty card suppose to be though? It only had a packing slip in the box.

Make sure the card did not slip underneath a flap inside the box and check in the bag. I believe they were on the outside of the bag.

I triple checked the box and bag. I even undid the Velcro inside the bag and there was nothing. Can I have a warranty card sent to me and how will I know what bag number I have since the original card was never sent with the bag?
