[Discraft] Buzzz OS

no because the profile of a shark3 is almost identical to a buzzz

Lol not even close. The shark has a sharp ,thin rim with more curved wing and a high shoulder, the stability isnt even close either. Shark3 doesnt hold up into the wind as good as the buzzz os,shark is slower and just doesnt have the hss. The buzzz os is faster, consistently os and much more hss than the shark3,hell,old champ sharks are more os than shark3's but still not as os as the buzzz os.

Ive thrown just about every os mid out there and tried several shark3's in the process and they couldnt handle power or wind. I can throw my buzzzs 300 at the very least and i tested the buzzz os this weekend in some heavy 20 mph winds with postitive results. My glo buzzz held up and just went straight,so for fun,i threw the buzzz os on an anny into the headwind ,90% power and it held half way before flattening and then fading out still. Its not gator meat hook beef but it has great hss to the point where a straight buzzz shot can still be made in heavy headwinds.

This disc is what ive been hoping for ove the past 4 years.

Btw,my buzzz os is 175 my other buzzzs are usually 177+

not comparing it to the buzzz os since ive never thrown, but if you wanted a stable to os buzzz with a very similar feel.. the shark3 works. The profile is very similar to a regular buzzz and to say that it "is not even close" means you might need glasses. I have both a buzzz and a shark3.

I threw shark3s before I threw buzzes. there is really no comparison. the shark3 is deeper and just doesn't have that low profile feel the buzzz has...remember a shark is a roc without the bead and while the roc and wasp are similar, the buzzz mold isn't just a wasp without a bead. it has it's own unique mold.

deeper maybe by a mm.. again.. im saying the shark3 is a nice stable to os complement to a buzzz if youre looking for a similar feel.

Anyone have any video reviews of this disc compared with others yet? Sorry if its in this thread, I've been trying to keep up with it.

I ordered two from infinite discs. Has anyone seen a domey or concave topped buzzz os? If not mine got warped in shipping. They were stacked right on top of one another with nothing in between to create an air pocket

There's definately some concave ones out there, haven't heard of anyone complaining about domey ones though.

Try setting the concave one on a flat surface out in the sun. The air heating and expanding underneath should return it to at least flat topped.

I have seen both slighty concave and slightly domey ones actually. Haven't seen any with huge domes, but definitely several with slight domes. I think others on this thread have already talked about getting concave ones. Both exist and are not necessarily the result of shipping problems.

I hear ya, and agree. I'm a Wasp thrower too. It's a good disc, very versatile. I'd like to see it in more than 1 plastic too. Buzzz OS does have me worried about future of the Wasp.

i share your same concern

If I ever meet you in the future somehow someway I owe you a beer. FWIW, They were warped but they were fixed by some nice warm sun on a nice hard sidewalk :hfive::hfive:

Just missed edit window. These are also different from other z I've handled. Real pearly like the new big Z stamps. I got a pink one that's pearliness has pearliness its outrageous

Seems too overstable for my taste. I am going to stick with my worn hornet for the time being, I like the level of overstability it is at now. Even it was too overstable for my taste when it was newer, now that it is quite worn it is still very overstable and 100% reliable.

Just ordered one at 177g from DGC. Been watching their inventory for the past couple of weeks on this disc. Selling fast. Was able to hold one over the weekend. As advertised, it felt a lot like the Buzzz. Much more comfortable in my hand than the Wasp. Have a feeling it will find it's way into my bag.

Hey, glad it worked. I've had to do it to the occasional disc strangely warped or caved in from shipping. You know it didn't come from the mfgr like that!

ive been waiting for a day to get hot enough to do it. such a cruddy "summer" this year. like we went from Spring to Fall with no summer (3 days over 90...what a joke). ah well, maybe one of these days the sun will be hot enough to heat the inside of my car enough to make a difference.

Finally got to try out my buzz os...This is a disc I have been waiting for. Its main use for me is forehand shots and flick rollers mainly. Great disc from discraft and worth the wait. It will be great for windy approaches backhand and has kicked the drone out of my bag due to the low profile. Now I have my beat buzzz, my new 10 yr buzz and my buzz os. Thats pretty much all I need. Well done discraft.
