You know you're addicted to DG when...

Your May 2013 consists of teaching those willing to learn the basics of disc golf at the Boy Scouts of America Disc Golf Fundraiser in Brainerd, MN at Lum Park on the 4th.

Making directional signs, tee signs, toe boards, tee posts as well as finish ground prep and host a small "kill the thorn bushes with in 20 ft off the fairways" party, dig and place said signs and posts and toe boards. Then line up 9 temp baskets and design in the given space 9 more temp holes for our grand opening with a Vibram Birdie Bash, May 18th at the St. Mathias Disc Golf Course in Fort Ripley, MN.

Then 3 days later begins the 3rd season of the Brainerd, MN Fly-By Disc Golf League which I started and have ran for the past two years. With the help of two great guys in the league who have stepped up big time of course as well as many others in smaller amounts but all great to have.

Also the effort for disc golf in Baxter, MN has risen like cream. A proposal I presented last year that was stirred around for 6 months only to be put on hold was just brought up at the last city council meeting. I did not know of this prior but I read it in the news paper the next morning. So Ill be meeting up with the Parks again to see what we might be able to accomplish. I was hoping to wait until June for that to start up again. Wish me luck, I hope all this brings some flight into others lives. A few more holes for me to shoot as well:)

As I read this, it reads a little like I'm complaining, I am not, all of this is by choice and mostly volunteer time. If I didn't want to be doing all this, I wouldn't. I love Disc Golf.

Didn't sound like complaining at all, that's awesome.

Thanks! When I moved here two.5 years ago, I saw only an handful of people carrying bags, we had 1 course with 9 holes and 9 tee pads with-in 20 miles and no league. Now I see dozens of people with bags, we have 27 baskets and 45 tee pads from 3 courses with in 20 miles and a league!!

All this work is doing something!

Not read all the responses, but I just looked at the bottom of my diet Barqs can and wondered if the profile was more like a Hornet, Wasp or Sentinel.

When you convince your fiancé to go eat in the city and by "coincidence" it just happens to be a couple blocks away from the disc golf store so no reason why you shouldn't just go over afterwards to "look" at what they have.
She's just as addicted as me and pulled the same thing on me about two weeks later.lol

When you walk out of the bar at 1 am and the first thing you say is too bad none of the courses nearby are lit, and your friend who's been a dger years longer then you says your obsessed man.

When you make a Twitter account dedicated to posting pictures and random stuff about disc golf.....

Oh well.

The truley obsessed would have grabbed lights for the bottom of the disc at least one light for the baskets and would have gone for it. Ive done that before.

When you get a package in the mail and are disappointed it contains no discs no matter what else is inside.

When you move your wedding date because all your friends will skip the wedding for the nearby A-tier if it's on the same weekend.
