So i threw the nuke yesterday.... wow! my throwing was off, i threw it way to high and with too much hyzer, but it still went as far as my other drives on good ones! the friend that let me throw it also had a boss, i compared the rims on them and the nuke is visually wider! crazy disc, cant wait to buy one!

My NUKE is on the way and if it is all that it is cracked up to be...I will be doing an extreme makeover: bag edition. I have been falling in love with Discraft lately and this may be the one that does it for me. There still are a few other molds from other brands that I will carry.

Yeah, so it happens to everyone at some point. they throw the NUKE, love it and that is the end of the story.

The NUKE immediately was an additional 20ft of distance for me, but it still doesn't replace my Surge or Surge SS.

nuke is ok. i have a 173 and it got flippy QUICK. the best part of the disc for me is the rim. feels excellent to FH. now all i use it for is weavy shots where i need quite a bit of high-speed turn and a fade at the end.

the nuke: %90 hype, 10% hip:\

Can't that be said for most new plastic though?

not the katana. hopefully not the ion...i have one on the way.:\

(srs ?): Why was the Katana not hype? Just seemed like a slightly understable Destroyer. I've thrown only a pro 1x, so I have little experience, but it wasn't really all that impressive compared to when I threw the Halo for the first time.

Also, the Ion just seems like a touch putter to me. There are so many different varieties, feels and what not for putter that it just struck me as a new idea with the same outcome of any solid, trusted putter.

Just picked up a 169 Nuke to pair with my 175... Threw it today and was impressed. A tad less stability and just a daintier disc all around. Once you can turn it over LOOK OUT.

On another note, hit the basket FH with my Boss today on a 280 hole... finally figured out how to throw that thing right. Low and Fast.

My buddy seems to like the Nuke as a RHFH driver. It did add distance....

For someone who doesn't want to work on form or practice that much, it does seem to live up to the "add D to your drive" hype. :\

I'll vouch for the nuke. I have a 167 and I still throw it with anyhyzer for a helix. It does get great D but needs a lot of room to work. I think it'll be really good when it wears in a bit and I can throw it flat.

It added well over 60ft to my RHFH drives... it turns at high speed and then fades back perfectly at the end.

Nuke gives me extra distance on most of my shots but not as accurate as my destroyer or wraith. Still getting used to wide rim much better on feel compared to groove. Arm does not have to be as strong for nuke as groove and boos I hear.

Not to burst your bubble but according to the pdga tech standards Approved discs list, the nuke and boss have the same rim width, 2.5 cm.

well, idk, i looked closly and the nuke was easily wider, discraft said it has the widest legally allowed, while innova's boss didnt, i still know the nuke is wider, but that dont matter, its still an amazing disc

I love my Nuke as well! I just got mine last week and have been launching it around my local course all week. I got a 168g yellow production run, and it gets me good distance on holes that I don't have much height to work with. Mine seems pretty overstable as I haven't turned it over yet. I have been liking it so much that I actually just ordered a second one tonight!

I have a Memorial Nuke and a Pro Katana. I like the Nuke waaaaaayyyy better. The pro Katana was the flippiest disc i've thrown even brand new. The Nuke allows you to put everyhting you have into a throw

The nuke just feels beefy, more so than a boss or any other disc I own for that matter. I think it's a bit much for me right now, but I do use it on longer holes with great results.
