what does everyone think about adding a place in the course reviews on poison ivy.....i drove 60 miles to play this last weekend with my wife and two kids and was disappointed to see all the poison everywhere....needless to say my oldest son got it all over his body somehow and i got a bit on my arms.....just think it might be a good add on to the course info....maybe a 1to 5 scale or something.

Yeah i agree, i went to a course that i had never played about three hours from where i live. When i got home i was itching really bad. In a couple of days i found out that i had it all over my body. I hate poison ivy, and i know one thing, and that is that i will never go back to that course.

don't go to Michigan City, IN...there's poison ivy on the tees, the fairways, and all over the baskets...it sucks. i can only play there in the fall and early spring

I'm completely for this. I love the outdoors (hiking, backpacking, etc.) so I know what poison ivy looks like. However, it doesn't look the same everywhere. I just made this mistake. I lost a disc in the woods and went after it. Now I'm covered in poison ivy, on steroids, and suffering a little bit of pyschosis from the drugs...feel completely miserable right now.

The baskets? Ha! I lived about 20 minutes from Mi City and never even knew there was a course there.

I always include it in my reviews (poison oak out here on the west coast). As someone who is very allergic, it is worth putting in there.

poison ivy is why i carry Tecnu in the bag, Zanfel in the car for afterwards, and i wear tube socks so i can minimize my contact with it. i swear, if i see poison ivy, i have it on my pupils

How does poison ivy even get on the baskets?

i think it's fairly new, maybe a year...but yeah, the poison ivy is attacking that course, it's creeping up #3's basket, which sucks cause it's aceable for sure, i've hit one ace on it

it gets everywhere on that course cause it's ALL sand there, it's close to lake michigan...sort of :|

the tees are just grassless ground, basically a dirt patch...and the sh*t is just everywhere

That stinks its on the basket, but congrats on the ace.

good idea, but that's the start of a slippery slope.

next people will be asking for a section for mosquitoes, chiggers, stinging nettles, drunks, tdd's, stoners, etc. etc....

It seems like a good idea to include that in the cons list on a review, ive seen a few people do that. Also, i'm sure there are plenty of reviewers who don't even really know what it looks like.

If you don't like poison ivy then dont ever play anna page west in rockford IL. that course had all three forms of the stuff: trailing, climbing, and shrub. i was the only time Ive ever seen all three together. I used to get the stuff 3 or 4 times per summer, but somehow i havent gotten it yet this year.....my leg is starting to itch.

for those of you...

pretty much, just stay away from anything with 3 leaves

I haven't had poison ivy in ten years, but I've had two bad cases this summer already. I started wearing soccer socks after the first case I had on my ankles and shins. then I got the **** on my knees and I've started wearing "manpris" (I've got long legs).

I'm gonna check out this tecnu stuff.
