Support local disc golf shops!!!!

I love Hazy Shade.

Can't say I support all disc shops though, the one here in Columbus blows and never carries anything under 173 and pretty much all Innova.

Thats another issue I've had. They are closed Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday, only open for like 3-4 hours on Saturday, which should be the busiest day, and only open until 6ish the other days that its open. The dude that owns/works there throws so he should know what kind of hours disc golfers keep, and those aren't them.

I finally got a chance to check out the Disc Golf Mart in Columbus and it doesn't even compare to Hazy Shade. It's so tiny. You'd be lucky to fit all the drivers Hazy has in the the Disc Golf Mart, let alone all the mids and putters. And yeah, they have some screwy hours of operation. Glad we have the Hazy Shade here in Dayton.

My local one just raised DX to nine dollars, pro d to 10. R pro/ pro is 13, champ 15.49, z 16.49, star 16.49, ESP 17.49.

The play it again sports is cheaper. I pay the few extra bucks to support them, but it is getting dumb

I work in a local headshop in town and i have convinced my boss to let me put in an order from innova :D people come in and ask all the time for discs and we only have 1 store that sells discs.............academy sports....... now our little town will finally have a store that sells discs other then academy !! Monday morning we will put the order in. any suggestions on what i should stock? i believe we will be ordering about 30-40 discs :D

My favorite place to buy plastic:
http://www.throwshop.us/

Run by people who:
- know the game and make reliable recommendations.
- actually make courses happen.
- are wonderful ambassadors of the game.

HUMONGOUS selection, with many hard to find items. They'll even let you throw a round with designated demo discs so you can see if that disc you were thinking about really has a place in your bag (MANY popular molds to test drive)!

No disc only shops where in Colorado Springs. I certainly like the idea of supporting a local shop and would do so if one were local enough. When I am out of town I like to check out such shops and give my money to them for discs.

Disc nation is an hour away in Austin but I make the trip up at least twice a week. They always have everything i\m looking for and more, and yes I do support that place very well. I love talking with Shannon there, she is very knowledgeable and has alot of patience with me a n00b. She always has a smile on her face and everyone of her recommendations has been spot on. She's also a big fan of the 2011 Disc pass I started, and i'm hoping she gets in on it soon.

Order Aviars of all kinds, and Rocs. Those are your best sellers.
Also get some drivers. Beasts, Sidewinders, TeeBirds katanas and the new Vulcan.
If you get a nice assortment, they should sell quickly.

the only "store" in vegas sells out of a van

The best "stores" in Toledo sell out of their vehicles. $7 DX/Pro D, $10 Pro/X, $12 Z, $13 Champ/ESP, $14 Star, $15 Glow and better selection than all the head shops/PIAS/Dick's combined.

Ken, the TD of the AM Worlds last year, sells out of this car at amazing prices. He has Champ and Star X-Outs for $8. I ran into him just before the tourney last year and dropped like $70-$80 on discs.

Ever since aces and chains has opened in joliet, I've been getting a lot of my plastic from there. They have a nice selection and even some older collector discs. Just need to get more gateway. They also do custom dyes. Of course I still use the marketplace. But whenever I'm in town and have extra cash, I make sure to stop in there to check out what they have.

To save all the new people that may be purchasing from you guys, don't order anything faster than a Valkyrie :p

I disagree. If he wants to sell lots of discs (and keep his boss happy with ordering discs), he needs to order the discs that people are most likely to buy in large numbers. I know the owner of a local store in my area, and he talks about how he likes to keep variety and more "interesting" discs in stock, but the discs that keep him in business are the ones that he sells the most of. Those are most likely to be the latest Innova drivers. That said, you can never go wrong ordering Aviars and Rocs, and if you don't have them, the disc golfers in the area are likely not to respect your store as a source for discs.

We have Sun King in Sarasota, great selection and sponsors of local tournaments. On line also.
