Review by golfmaniac89 in course Chautauqua Park DGC

2.00 star(s) Extremely Frustated The course is laid out across a lot of hills, with shots requiring you to aim uphill, downhill, and across hills. I had to go from overstable to understable to stable and everything in between. I didn't find myself using the same disc for multiple tee shots in a row...

Review by golfmaniac89 in course The Lynx

2.00 star(s) This course needs some TLC The course is situated in a decent part of the campus of Jones County Junior College. The elevation changes are used fairly well, as well as the different shot shapes required to execute good shots. I found myself going from an overstable disc on one tee to throwing...

    A defense of discing down

Discing Down--My Theory Boy I could go for a very long time on this one, but here we go. I currently own an I-dye Champion Rhyno and a Star Rhyno that I can throw about 225 feet without turn over pretty consistently. Here's an on-course situation to consider I had recently and was questioned...

    overstable putter for driving

My Two Cents Worth... I actually carry THREE Rhynos. The oldest is Pro, and it's a good nose-up floater for control and turnover disc. Next is the R-Pro, which is the straightest thing I've seen. Last, but not least, is an I-Dye Champion. It's the hyzer disc for me. I've used Pigs in the...

    Driver/Mid ratio

@New013 I was the first person in my league to play with a Mako when they came out. I had so much success with it that everybody started getting them and using them. It's nice to have when you've got a tight line to hold.

    Driver/Mid ratio

Most of the discs you have highlighted unfortunately make my bag tick. The Rhynos are for putting on windy days and for throws of up to 235'. I could conceivebly do without the Cro and the Gator, but parting with my Mako would be like trying to get Al Gore to drop the global warming...

    Driver/Mid ratio

A Bit Overloaded?!? This is what I currently carry, and I do realize that my bag is VERY unusual, but this combination actually works wonders for me: Putters--7 2x Gateway Magic 2x Aviar (JK Pro & Champion) 3x Rhyno (Pro, R-Pro, & I-Dye Champion) Mid-Range--10 7x Roc (2 DX, 2 KC Pro, 1 R-Pro...

    Fling it or Finesse it??

Finnesse vs. Fling Here's my take on this one. The course I play on is fairly open, but has some definate tricks to it. Our second longest hole, at 438 feet, requires either a big bomb around the right side tailing left at the end or a flipped drive from the left and having it die into a...
