All the better ones are on the NE side, McClain, Universal City and Live Oak seem to be the most popular. Northwest Vista College is close by and has a nice 18 hole short course. Nani Falcone park off Bandera has a 9 holer that is about to be the site of the Nightmare at Nani on Feb 8. Its a no-tier one day tournament...dubs in the morning, singles with pretty tough OB in the afternoon and a no OB night round after dark. They add 9 temp holes for it. There are a few other courses, Cibolo's Schlather Park, Boerne Lake north of town and Pearsal Park way on the south side.

Yes, Uvalde, they opened a 9 hole in November and I've been playing since then. Uvalde is about 75 miles West of San Antonio if you haven't heard of it.
