    North Carolina Courses

Thank you all so much for the responses. I'm going to lean Nevin, those daunting wooded tracks are some of my favorite. Fingers crossed the weather remains good. I know I'm going to love it and will be definitely be looking for more excuses to pass through Charlotte in the future to play your...

    North Carolina Courses

I'm going to have several hour layover in Charlotte in two weeks, first time in the city! If the weather's not horrible, I'm going to try to get a round in... the question is.. Nevin or Hornet's Nest? It seems like the consensus (from my limited research) is that Hornet's Nest is slightly...

How the highest level of courses have changed

Thank you so much for the response, Chuck. This is incredibly insightful. Appreciate everything you've done for our game. 4100' is no joke for a 9-hole. I wonder how things would have evolved if not for the color-identification of tee skill levels. Was there any point in time where the...

How the highest level of courses have changed

Hi everyone, I'm trying to brush up a bit on my disc golf history. This post only pertains to the highest level of the game for both MPO and FPO. Courses that hold worlds, elite series, etc. This is not concerning your casual disc golf courses. With courses growing seemingly longer and...

    Form help greatly appreciated

Hi everyone, Once again I feel like I've made a lot of progress with the way my form looks, but the distance still isn't there. There's something off right as my plant foot is coming down. Something with my timing or the way my hips are activating. You'll notice this in the video. You can...

    Form help greatly appreciated

Hi, Haven’t posted in this thread in nearly 10 months. I’ve put quite a lot of work into fixing my form. I think, from a technical perspective, my throw looks 100x better than in previous videos, but I’ve not really added much distance. I’m still stuck on something, and I’m not sure what it...

Silver Series: The Open at Belton Mar 18-20

I can't put my finger on exactly why, but I really enjoyed this tournament last year. Not the most picturesque course, but I really liked the design. The final round brought out the classic Rick/Paul battle, where both of them began the final round with a significant lead over the rest of...

    Form help greatly appreciated

That makes total sense. Thank you for the explanation, it helps me understand more fully the forces at work in all of this. At the end of the day, I just need to be more balanced. Thanks for the feedback and the resources.

    Form help greatly appreciated

That's really great. Watching pro's form I can see this 2nd extension. Thank you so much for your insight, really interesting stuff.

    Form help greatly appreciated

Thank you so much for the response SW, you're insight is always worth a ton to me. I'm really going to make an effort to reconstruct my footwork altogether. Aside from footwork, do you know why specifically my plant foot is popping up? I know footwork plays the biggest role, but I'm just...

    Form help greatly appreciated

Hi everyone, been a bit. I’ve been able to consistently add another 20-30 feet of distance to my throw but in taping myself again I’m seeing that there’s some things fundamentally wrong, still. Video: https://youtu.be/lS4Rxy4eC58 It seems like my upper body is sort of ‘spinning’, rather than...

DGPT: 2021 Des Moines Challenge July 9-11

I just watched GK PRO's course preview with Connor O'Reilly and I gotta say, this course looks great. Kinda reminds of a slightly more technical Jonesboro. Requires a wide variety of shots and the lines are well-defined. I think it will look good on coverage. With that being said, it likes the...

2021 PDGA Professional Disc Golf World Championships June 22-26

I always love looking at that chart.. notice the last stretch of James and Paul's run. Both went birdie on 5 of the 6 last holes (in regulation). I need to go back and watch the back 9 again.

    The McBeth Era...

In the tournaments I've watched him play, James seems to be far more aggressive and fearless than the field. He runs nearly every putt, even with OB close behind the basket and on upshots always seems to be going for the chains rather than landing safe near the pole.
