In nordic and baltic countries Discgolfmetrix has really heavy usage. Its official partner of Finnish disc golf association. They have made really good changes during last year and working as TD has become quite simple task. Competition calendar is easy to access and players can register...
Beginners should use premium plastics. Each of their discs get several hits per each hole. Compare that to advanced player who has bag full of discs and might get past some of the trees. Beginners discs get beaten to death too fast if they use basic plastic.
Wish list for next year:
*Extremely overstable putter (in level with Obsidian Splinter. It just starts to fade right out of your hand and sticks to ground like throwing rubber boot to mud.)
*Extremely overstable midrange (Slightly longer than previous, with same kind of sticky rubbery material.)
Neutron octane @170g. Perfect for my 120m arm. Nitro is bit too much meat hook. Haven't tried energy, but based on nitro, i don't have to. Catalyst is nice with proton plastic, but i prefer the octane now.
So what is going to happen to matrix? Is the later production run going to be overstable as it was described? or do it stay this way? Reminds me about the first run shock episode. I don't dare to buy one, before i know its going to stay way or another. I tested it from a friend of mine. It was...
I wasn't that impressed. I threw max weight photon and octane side by side and got them pretty much on same spot 380 feet away. Low flat line. I need to beat it a bit to get some turn to it. Maybe around 165 would be sweet spot to my arm for fresh disc.
I have couple of soft atoms for putting and approaches. they have now reached their optimal wear and doesn't seem to take damage very much anymore. After they have been banged around steadily from all sides, they have found their static point. I guess full hit to tree would still make a...
try MVP orbital. I could throw it with my totally useless left hand quite nice distance. It is probably most understable disc i have ever tried. My noodle armed friend threw quite nice distance with it. Nice S-curve flight path. Its really noodle arm friedly disc even at max weight. For me its...
MVP Atom soft, x2 for putting
Axiom envy, soft driving/ approach/ hyzer putts around obstacle
Axiom melon proxy, straight or right drift driving
Obsidian splinter g5, max overstable gummy drop dead approach.
Champ tern was one of the longest disc for me, but i never liked how angle sensitive it was. Bit too little angle and it was cut rolling. Bit too much angle and it was stable and faded. Width of the landing area was just too wide to use in fairway. Mystere was much more understable.
