im having issues w black dye shades

Gray is very difficult to accomplish, even the old pearl grey I have looks more blue than I would like. This is because black dye isn't really black as shown by Bennett. it's just really dark green or blue etc.

bmx punk- have those iPoly's worked with alcohol. I'm sure with water or detergent they are going to work fine. I just haven't played with them much.

I've used 95% alcohol & dye, but prefer using a mix of alcohol, dye & detergent.

yeah i was aware of the blue black... im just hoping to find a grey idye pack some where.

I've had success getting grey by putting mixed black iDye from my jar in a try with a shot of shaving cream. I then paint that mix on and toss it in the oven @ 170 to set it. Seems to stay whatever shade the shaving cream is. At least white star and neutron.

I can't speak for John, but I like alcohol more than acetone because it doesn't mess with the stamp. If the stamp is already gone and you're looking for the punch of color, then acetone is the way to go.
