Let us know when you are hitting Iron Hill up. We can make it a Hawk Hollow reunion.

Yes, if you want the company please do post your schedule. I have been looking for an excuse to hit Iron Hill for a while . . .

Moser was probably the best woods player in the world at one point in time so I think you're a wee bit off base there.

I am sure you are right, the only evidence I was going off of was his clear dislike of Scarboro and how he designed his course.
thinking back on his speech I do not think it was Scarboro he disliked as much as the etiquette of the locals during the tournament.

It's been almost ten years since this thread has seen a post. Let me know if this is seen or a better thread to post.

Check out the distances on a new course Winter Quarters in Pocomoke that opened over the weekend. One tee to one basket course at 8314 feet.

Well, your posted bumed this thread up to the top, so I guess it worked.

Yeah, 8300 ft is kinda long, especially for a course that doesn't offer short tees or pin placements.

But it says it's on an old ball golf course. That kind of distance makes a lot more sense if it's sparsely wooded.

Bagged Winter Quarters in Pocomoke City, Maryland a few weeks ago. A pleasant walk after getting to the 4th tee and onward. The first 3 holes are splashy, could be from rain or spillage from a river. Some scenic flights of the disc thru canopy. The course is 8900 feet but seems to play shorter. Just a 1/2 mile off of Hwy 13. Have uploaded photo's.
