I'll make a donation when I win the Mega Millions Friday...

LUCKY! I didn't realize you were a 20 year old kid living in FL?? lol I saw that kid won and couldn't believe it. You don't really ever hear of someone his age winning that kind of money? I thought those jackpots were reserved for dudes who are 5 years behind on child support or an old couple who already has money?? Must be nice??

Hole 17, New World DGC. Red tee on top of the Moonscape feature. Downhill, basket in front of a lake.

How many courses have a waterfall on a fairway? New World, taken from yesterdays round by my cardmate and friend. Tree-man-Tim.

I remember that hole... very nice... but with a total drop of about 18-24 inches, only a Floridian would call that a "waterfall." :p

... but it meets the definition.

I've been down here for too long lol:D

New world is very photogenic though.

It certainly has many scenic holes, the one you posted being a wonderful example.

But I guess beauty truly is in the eye of the beholder. Personally, I thought the holes playing on what are basically man-made dunes from sand excavated to create the retention pond were rather barren and lifeless. While we played the same course, I'm actually jealous, because your "moonscape" description just shows you saw it from a much more interesting perspective than I did.

What I liked about New World was the diversity. I could post several more pictures of wooded holes, holes around the lake and even more moonscape holes. Are there too many moonscape holes? maybe. My biggest con other than the cost would have to be the distance. Eat your Wheaties if you're going to throw this one, especially if you walk it. I liked Magnolia better but we were playing Magnolia under optimal conditions.

Most of us have probably seen a tombstone style landing before but how about a submerged in water tombstone? Here's one I nailed today. It's standing up tombstone style stuck in the muck and completely submerged in the creek at Oldsmar DGC. Luckily it wasn't too far out and was fairly easy to extract.
