The Mako is THE straightest non-putter disc ever created. I've thrown one many times and the ratings on inboundsdiscgolf.com are accurate. This disc is straighter than most putters too. The Buzzz doesn't even compare.

That said, the Skeeter may work better for you if you are used to throwing slight hyzer for your midrange shots. If you just want a slightly faster Mako, wait a week and the Mako3 will be available.

The QMS might give the Mako a run for its money, especially in CE.

FYI, from what I've read a DX and a Star Skeeter are almost like two different discs. I used to have a DX that was great for upshots and actually good for putting but off the tee it turned and burned. The Star appears to be much more stable and a better off the Tee mid but I'll let others confirm that.
