So I'm playing Flower Frenzy next weekend, and every chance I've had to play Rolling Hills with friends beforehand has fallen through. Anyone free for a round tomorrow morning, to be my sherpa and show me the good lines on the holes, so I don't have to play it blind at the tournament?

I got a double family obligation Easter. If you are looking for a playing partner in the future, feel free to shoot me a message on Disc Golf Scene. Not sure I can show you THE line, but I can show you A line. :p

Lol. I can see that.

Just for the record:

I've never seen Ru4 in a bunny suit, nor do I want to. :|

That's a pretty bold statement. Though with your track record, you don't have a leg to stand on...

Well, while y'all were joking around, I went and played a round :D

I'd say I did pretty well for having no guide...

Well done!

Can't seem to find any past events with an FA1 field playing rolling from the shorts, through the connections I have. I'm guessing it was a strong score, even with the two botched putt bogies - but I have no idea how strong...

Nice round! Here is some FA2 and FA3 scores. They are for 21 holes though, but you might get an idea.

Yeah, it's hard to find any FA1/FPO scores at Rolling Hills. Looking at past tournament results, it feels like we had those divisions just spring up in the last year...

Closest I could find to the same layout and score was an MA2 round from last year, and I still had to do math to get the rating for a 50. Looks like it's 925. Not sure if that gets extra math being in an F vs an M division, though...

My only thought upon discovering this thread is..... You've never played RH before?

I understand that its hard to get to every single course in the region. And I'm sure there are a few within a few hours that are good that I'm remiss in missing. But my brain is still like "WTF mate?"

Rodgers Lakewood in Valpo is rated 4.12 on here and I still haven't made it out there despite it only being only a little over an hour from my house.

It's almost certainly been the nearest, unplayed, 4+ disc course to me since I joined dgcr. Something has always come up when I'm thinking of heading out that way. Still surprising that I've never made it happen.

It's even crazier considering the quality of the courses around here when I started playing. We'd head out to Lemon Lake and Rockford on a fairly regular basis. You would have thought I'd have crossed RLW off the bagging hit list by 2010, but still no dice.

I'd been playing for years before I finally made it out to Rolling Hills or Independence Lake (then wanted to kick myself for waiting so long).

Yeah I'm def aware that my reaction is very much a disconnect between my perception and reality. Mostly because I'm in a black hole for disc golf. The nearest 4 star+ that I haven't played is Laingsburg, MI - Pine Hills Golf Course. That is the 18th rated of 18 4-star or higher courses within 100 miles of me.

Of course that course is only a single 1 star rating from being a 2.5 star course. Lol.

Most interesting thing I learned from this dive in courses near me - the kids camp that booted me in 6th grade for being too annoying to handle has a 9er now. I'll have to go play it. Two loops and I'll have spent almost as much time there as I did in the 6th grade.
