Pros:
I have two sons, 6 and 9. The 9 year old is enthusiastic and really getting into the sport. This course is just about perfect for family play where there are some beginners and some more advanced players. My son loves being able to make par and I enjoy going for birdies, watching everyone have a good time. The shots make good use of the existing trees, hills and valleys to make a fun course! Not a place for a group of expert players demanding an extremely challenging course, but this is clearly not what this course is intended to be. We will definitely be coming here again!
Cons:
The course is not complete yet - there are posts but no signs or maps so finding some tees (especially hole 9 - which is down near the skateboard park) and baskets are a bit tough. (At two points we discovered late we were shooting at the wrong basket). This is obviously a problem they are working on - they have done a great job so far.
It is also clear there is enough space here to put in a 'back 9' to this course or even use the existing baskets to create a full 18 holes. My sons were both itching for more!
Other Thoughts:
If you are a beginner, have a mix of skills in your group, or are looking to work on you mid and short game at a nice park ,this is a great place. Its also an amazing park for families - hiking trails to a small lake, new play structures, great picnicking, lots of grass, volleyball, soccer, baseball, bocci, skateboard park, off road rc track and roller hockey rink. We ended up spending the afternoon here.
