Pros:
Friendly Staff gave me a scorecard and showed me the #1 tee. Someone,a few years ago,put some Blood,Sweat & Tears into building the homemade DISCatcher knock-offs, and some clearing in the woods. A few Open & mostly Wooded with some Elavation. The scorecard has very generous pars. So kids and beginners won't get frustrated.
Cons:
I paid $2 to play here.....well it's now marked off my "Wish List". The homemade DISCatcher Pro knock-offs,Made of a lesser grade of steel. I don't believe there was ONE that was complete. ALL of the baskets had only one ring on the bottom!? Cut thru's possible on EVERY Hole. NO marked Tees!?.... The scorecard says "Suggested"!? The course gets so rarely used there is no "Dirt" tee pad....er "area". So I just Teed off from the basket a threw according to the map on the scorecard and the cut rough. With a little back tracking I was able to play this in 20 minutes! The scorecard doesn't have holes distance.
Other Thoughts:
I hope a local club can make the owner "See the Light". With some more Blood, Sweat & Tears, and Re-Conditioned Baskets, this could be a really good kid/beginner course.....Another Camping Activity. Intermediates will have fun going for Ace's! Pros Could work on their putting on the #1/9 basket & makeup a 5 hole safari course. I'm thinking a previous emplyee put this course in and is no longer with them? The worst "DISCatcher" was,I believe #5, the basket was on the ground and in two pieces. Most had the Chains hanging straight down and the basket or top was at an angle.
