Pros:
- Varied course design: great mix of elevation changes, tight tunnels, open bombers
- Rarely busy as the casuals stay at Bowen
- Dogs can go off-leash (and there will often be people there just to walk their dogs)
- Natural terrain and flora
Cons:
- Not cart friendly
- Blind teeshots can have you searching for discs (night play is much easier)
- Errant shots or bad tree kicks can have you in digging through blackberry bushes
- Fairways of 16-18 are very wet due to runoff
- Teepads are rough ground and can be uneven
Other Thoughts:
If you need mowed fairways to find your disc, play elsewhere. If you like rough, natural courses this one is fantastic. The course design makes great use of the many elevation changes, and has lots of fun & challenging holes. 16 in particular is a massive downhill teeshot with a nice view.
My favorite course in the area. It could be even better with proper teepads, signage & some of the worst bush cleared out. I've heard it can be almost unplayable in the spring/summer when the vegetation is at its peak, but during the 'winter' here it's definitely worth checking out.
