Pros:

Good mix of open and Tight wooded holes. Included are a couple of good pin positions around a pond. Rollers probably will do well except in the woods. I enjoyed the course and would like to go back again and play. Fair to both righties and lefties and even if you don't throw far you can compete.

Love this course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 31, 2007 Played the course:never

Pros:

lots of variety and very challenging, three tee positions per hole to suit every level of player. front 9 in fairly open park with large trees. Most of back 9 in the woods and very tough!

Cons:

Back 9 still has some "work in progress" feel to it but there has been alot of progress made just this year.

Other Thoughts:

I've seen some very good players take 7's and 8's on some of the tough wooded holes on the back. 13 and 14 are the toughest.

Tight and wooded 2+ years

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Sep 1, 2007 Played the course:never

Pros:

Well maintained, great signs and tees are easy to find. Also, course maps available at first hole.

Cons:

Course is tight and determining which basket you're going for can be difficult on occasion. Signs could use hole maps with trees and other landmarks to help you determine where you're throwing.

Other Thoughts:

Despite its small size, Emerson is a fun and technical course. Most holes have plenty of trees in play so you have to plan your shots carefully. You will also find a few open holes that'll give you a chance to test your distance as well as some heavily wooded ones to give your accuracy a workout.

Overall this was a fun course to play with a good mix of holes. If you're in the area it would be worth your time to stop by for a round.
