Pros:

None the course is closed. So I have nothing else to say about it. The website wants more details so I am just going to blabber on and on and on.

Cons:

Course is closed. Talked to a local kid and he said they were having trouble with vandalism so they took out the pins.

Pros:

The course is set in a nice clean multi use park. The baskets are brand new discatchers that are still in great shape. The course is mostly open with some trees in play in spots. The first hole is located along the left field line of the southernmost baseball diamond throwing west. The rest of the holes play north with 8 and 9 playing back toward the parking lot. The course plays on the outskirts of the park so it does a good job of staying away from other park activities. Hole 4's basket I believe it was is set right near the lake so with an overshot you'd be in the lake.

Cons:

No tee pads or signs...yet, it is still very new though. It says on the main page they have stakes or flags marking each tee, however many are already missing or are very hard to find. There's a swimming beach right behind hole 1's basket. This could be dangerous if it was being used.

Other Thoughts:

This is a typical city park nine hole. Not worth a trip out of your way by any means but a decent, pretty fun little course.

A good start 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 8, 2014 Played the course:once

Pros:

- Located in a nice park with a lot of amenities, something for the whole family
- The park is well maintained. Very clean, mowed
- Nice numbered baskets
- Not the longest course, but a great job using the space and features available
- Beautiful start to the round, teeing off towards the lake behind the basket

Cons:

- No signage/maps, can make navigation a little tricky, but not too tough to figure out.
- I don't mind grass tees, but I almost took out my ankle on a pit on hole one.
- Course is very close to other activities in the park (swimming beach, volleyball court, fishing banks, etc.) Park wasn't too busy when we went on a gorgeous Saturday afternoon, but if the park gets busy, I could see that causing a lot of delays in getting through your round safely.
- Normally I'd like the challenge of some blind shots, but the proximity to others could lead to another hazard.
- Even when not busy, the few people in the park did present a challenge and led to much more conservative shots to avoid braining someone.
- Course doesn't need much "breaking in", but there could be a little trimming done now that the summer growth has altered the foliage a bit.
- Missing tee markers on hole 4 and 9. You could see the worn ground on 4, but 9 was a bit of a guessing game. We figured you should shoot under the branches of the beautiful tree.
- Holes 3 and 9 run parallel towards each other . Could get hairy with a somewhat blind tee on 3.
- Tee markers that are in place can be a little hard to see. Pink flags are a good idea, but too easy for a child to run away with. I don't expect those to last.

Other Thoughts:

This is a really great spot for a family outing, more suitable for beginners. Some nice chances to practice different shots (left, right, low, tunnel). Sparsely wooded with a few blocking trees will encourage shot shaping without severe penalties. Bigger arms won't get much of a stretch, but that's not a bad thing considering the potential for other park traffic. Rating would definitely be higher with signs and a little more defined/flatter tee pads.
