Pros:

Fantastic Property in the North Woods of Wisco, between the St Croix and Clam Rivers

Sand and Stone Till with all types of Hills, Valleys, Ravines, and Boggy Kettles

Great mix of Deciduous, Pine, and Aspen Trees

Plays in Heavy Woods, Juvenile Treeline, Prarie Hills, and Open-Wooded Fusionz

The Tree Mix and Use in the Design is Phenomenal. Aspen, Oaks, Pines, Walnuts, and Maples frequently got my attention while walking Fairways and looking around Greens. Such a Stellar piece of Land for Discgolf, cannot say enough Good things

DG Design on this Land is SuperFun and Super Diverse

Blind Greens with Rollaway/Rollback Elevation in play

Hanging Basket over a lil Ravine

Wooded Holes with Tree Islands incorporated into Fairways

Holes Framed with Juvenile Aspen, Pine, Oaks, Walnuts and Maples along Woods Edge

Charlotte Holes with Boggy Pondy stuff on one of the sides

Short Wooded Birdie Runs with Tilted Greens

Bigger Uphill drives involving Prarie

Downhill Bomber with the Basket Hanging from an Oldgrowth Pine

Wooded Holes with the Basket on the Side of a Ravine

Wooded Open, Open Wooded, and Wooded Open Wooded

Straight Wooded and Uphill, maybe a basket on a TreeStump

Across a picturesque Rolling Valley with a Nappy Bog Pondy Lurking

Throwing over a Boggy Pond, Ridge to Ridge

Throwing across a seriously steep Ravine

Wooded Doglegs, up and down, left and right, and sometimes the Fairways Slope

Wooded Dogleg with a Fern Gulley just before the Green

Cons:

Not much for Par4 Holes or Gold Level Dg, but most every type of Par3 Hole is available at Tjader

Six New Holes don't have Pads or Signage yet, but there's a nice long Bench and White Flags at Each Tee area. The Orange Prodigy Baskets are pretty Sweet too

Take a Stroke just to PitchOut if you land Off the Fairways

Barbed Wire along the Rightside of Holes 3 5 & 11. Some GodAwful looking Rough out there on 5 n 11

Blind Boggy spot to the Right of 8s Green. Could cause 9s Fairway to be Wet too maybe

3 open uphill Prarie Holes are Similar

If you can't throw Straight Shots that Land Straight, it's gonna be a Struggle. Throwing Straight Prevails on much of this Dgc

Tics in Grass, check yourself often

Highway Noise may be Bothersome for certain people

Special Course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 14, 2020 Played the course:once

Pros:

Super layout and extremely good use of the terrain. Quality teepads and baskets. The maintenance here is phenomenal especially since it is most likely done by one person or very few people! Worth every penny of the $5!

Cons:

Bugs? In the summer, obviously but no different than any other course. A haul from my home but worth a day trip or a stop on the way to or from some other destination.

Other Thoughts:

My group enjoyed our round very much. We hope to improve our first visit's scores in the future but we found the course to be challenging and fair. Probably one of the better private courses you could play and has been designed and maintained by a true fan of the game. Well done, Tjaders!

Make Time For This One 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 12, 2018 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

1) Great Company-The owner/operator met us at the course and facilitated a glow round (not the easiest task). Other golfers were warm and welcoming.
2) Well designed with great utilization of land
3) Variety with some short technical, long bombs, and elevation play
4) Fairways, greens, tees, and baskets top notch

Cons:

1) Very dense rough (can only speak for mid-summer). The rough is everything outside of the lane and you could add several strokes by being off the fairway by only several yards
2) Some lane maintenance would help where flora is prohibitive right off the pad (some might consider these challenges a pro)
3) Bugs terrible (part of the game, does not affect rating)
4) Added lane signage at tee pads would be an awesome addition

Other Thoughts:

Overall this course was an excellent experience. I set up camp at the course with a friend, and we had a great time throwing with the owner and having drinks around his fire pit into the evening. There is a camper cabin onsite with an outhouse for convenience. A fire-pit near the camper cabin would add to feel of privacy for the camper, but we felt welcome after establishing a relationship with the land owner.

The course is a beautiful jaunt, that will challenge all levels of golfer. As an intermediate player, I really had to focus on placement as you do not want to be digging through the thick woods surrounding most of the fairways. The experience that this course has to offer will definitely vary depending upon the time of year. I would love to hit this one again during the fall!

I would definitely recommend making time for this one, and make sure to chip in! With a little more traffic, the roughs would get stomped down a bit, making the experience better for everyone.

Challenging Course that is constantly improving 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 3, 2017 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

• Quality Mach V Baskets
• Concrete Tees on all holes, Holes # are marked
• Variety of Holes
• Challenging
• Easy to follow, a couple paths you need to follow next tee signs
• Friendly Owners
• Constantly improving

Cons:

• Course is a little raw but the owner is constantly working on upkeep and improvement and it get's better each year
• Stinging Nettle Present

Other Thoughts:

I play this course every 4th of July weekend while at a friend's cabin, each year as the course gets better as it is more broken in and the owner continues to build upon it and improve. This course has a great design and a promising future. This course is the owners labor of love, the owner and his family maintain the course so it might not always be freshly mowed but it's mowed often enough to not lose any points.

There is a good variety of holes, long ones, short ones, a couple open bombers, a couple with drastic elevation differences. It will bring out all aspects of your game.

This course has very thick rough and because of this if you don't stay on the fairways you are gaining strokes quickly. This is both a positive and a negative, it's positive because it makes the course very challenging and really forces you to be on your game, but at the same time it's a negative because it basically makes every hole feel like a tunnel shot. This is often present on new courses and as it's played more the rough it broken in and it becomes not at thick and there are some holes and backdoors you can try giving the course some risk/reward features. Most courses near large disc golf communities get broken in quickly, since this course is over an hour away from the cities it isn't played as often as others so this breaking in period will take a little longer. But I'm positive with the owners continuing improvement and as the course breaks in more it will become a destination course.

Hidden gem 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 1, 2017 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

*20 concrete teepads
*great flow to the course and land well used
*phenominal elevation use, pretty close to every hole has an uphill, downhill and hillside green.
*minimal traffic, I played 2 solo rounds in 2 hours 3 minutes
*private land, great family whom let anyone play close to anytime without even asking on private family land. $5 is more than fair, I gave 10.
*punishing rough, I view this as a positive. Most courses if you throw a bad shot it's not a tough save. This course your off the fairway more than a couple ft you are addIng 1 to 3 strokes.

Cons:

*tics, I pulled a good 12 off of me but was to be expected landing off fairway.
*some areas are hard to mow so some grass was s bit long.

Other Thoughts:

I have wanted to play here for 2 years now and have had a tough time having a young child and it being over an hour away. Family is out of town and I played it solo but well worth the trip. Great piece of land. Advanced to pro level course. Many unique shots, pretty much every hole is a good hole. Thanks to the Tjader family for letting us play at their home.

Excellent hole in the wall course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Apr 3, 2017 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

The course flows really well together and makes great use of the land, There is some signage to direct you to where the next hole is. It's got a great mixture of technical holes, bombers, lefty shots, tunnels, and a variety of hazards in trees and thickets that never proved to be impossible for even newcomers.

Each hole has concrete teepads which is a huge plus, there are also benches at many of the pads which was great to take a quick breather between holes. The baskets themselves were in great shape and there was good use of having flagpoles on the ones that were below elevation so you weren't shooting blind.

The course felt like it had a good "flow" to it, meaning they had consecutive holes that weren't straight duplicates, but still felt like you had to use the same type of shots. Many of the bombers came in consecutive holes too.

Navigating without a map or previous run through was easy with the exception of hole 9 to 10 but it looks like it is going to be a future hole as there was wood set up waiting for concrete to be put in. Otherwise it was simple to go to each hole.

Great communication from the owner. I had some questions before I made the trip and the owner was very prompt, courteous, and even thanked me for visiting which I feel is not done enough. He knows that we the players are what makes course owners keep building and maintaining great courses.

The course was great for both new and experienced players. There were many straight shots but you rarely had a gimmie for birdies. It still did challenge those who are intermediate or advanced. A great mix of straight shot putts, downhill and uphill and #19 (the gorge) was a fun way to nearly wrap up the back 10.

Cons:

The course was a little difficult to find, as Google Maps brought me a mile short of the course but the owner was able to provide me with good directions.

Did find a few ticks on some players and a dog, can't imagine how bad it will get once summer rolls around.

The layout while great is going to be a bit punishing to people who do not hit the fairway on drives. Even with a lot of dead trees and branches it was thick and sometimes painful. It will only get worse as the season goes on.

Signage would be great, and I could bet that it is in the works as it is a newer course. If I hadn't done my homework and played blind I would have been a little disappointed by the lack of signage for each hole plus navigating between them.

Other Thoughts:

The owner seems very passionate and determined to continue improving the course, and has a presence on Facebook to get events and more people involved. It's great to see, especially because the area lacks DG courses. That said, I am excited to see this course grow and encourage anyone passing through to give it a shot.

The rough is rough 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 1, 2016 Played the course:once

Pros:

Kind landowner built this nice course.
The rough is rough.
Tunnel shots.
Great pads and baskets.
Good variety.
Had the course to myself.
Beautiful walk in the forest.

Cons:

Tics ( Pulled about 10 off me at the end of my round)
The rough is rough.

Other Thoughts:

Great course if you can throw distance with some shape. Might be a bit narrow for some but all holes have nice lines if you can hit them, if not bring your deet. $5 donation seemed fair considering the work that went into the course.

Cons:

It is a bit of a drive... In the summer months, I hear the ticks can be brutal...

Other Thoughts:

This is a beautiful 20 hole layout on a very scenic piece of land... With the pads in this is one of my favorites...
