Westmoreland DGC is a pretty standard park niner. The course has some rolling terrain and a few trees to contend with on every hole. The park itself was very clean and well tended to and the only other park activities you'll encounter is walkers on the path that goes through the park.

There's concrete tees on each hole. These are decently sized and more than serviceable for a short course like this. One tee pad per hole.

The baskets are Mach III's. These are all in good shape and catch fine. One pin position and basket per hole.

The flow of the course is very easy to follow. It basically runs counterclockwise around the edge of the park the whole time. The holes are all pretty close to the prior basket too.

4x4 post with the hole number on them mark each tee location and give you a visual to look for when heading to the next tee.

No tee signs anymore. It appears that there used to be a few years ago. Not a single one is left. Not a huge deal but kind of disappointing at the same time. They looked to be pretty nice.

There's a few spots on the bottom of the hills that don't seem to drain too well. It's been dry around here for over a week now and there was still some wet areas.

The course is pretty generic. All the holes kind of blend together. There's nothing that can be done about this obviously, but it does limit the fun factor and replay value.

There's no parking lot so you'll have to park in the neighborhoods bordering the park.

Pretty run of the mill park style course. Good course for new or casual players though, which is obviously it's target audience. If you do decide to play here it shouldn't take more than 30 minutes or so if it's not busy.

Westmoreland DGC located in Eugene Oregon is a fun little 9 hole city park course. Westmoreland features an average of 250ft holes along a strip of land with minimal elevation change and minimal obstacles.

All the holes look identical almost. It practices your consistency I guess. Nice big course map near hole 1 with the park rules and some other information. The course follows a nice loop so it ends where you started. Westmoreland DGC is very beginner friendly. I would recommend this course to people starting out. The hole length isn't too long and it's not very challenging.

The tee signs are nice and detailed which is a plus. They show all the different basket locations. It's nice to see they have different basket locations since this course doesn't have much variety. For a nine hole course that's pretty straight forward it's great to see they have some up to date hardware.

The only obstacles on this course are park trees and pedestrians. Trees come into play on various different holes. The course is well maintained and it's in pretty good shape. Good size tee pads and Mach 5 baskets get the job done. Seems like they added some elevation by building some gentle slopes.

There's quite a few walking trails along the Westmoreland DGC and I ran into a lot of people walking their dogs and bikers riding through. Had to wait on a lot of tees. There were even people having a picnic on hole 8 which wasn't ideal.

The homeless population has significantly decreased but there were still quite a few of them camped out on hole 4. This course isn't very challenging. Sure it's a good 9 hole course with pretty average length par 3s. Nothing really stands out though.

I made the mistake of parking near the 7-11. I had to walk through the entire park before I reached the first hole. I recommend parking on the south side of the park near the boys and girls club.

-Westmoreland Park is a well-kept city park in west Eugene. The course is solid; it's not spectacular, but not lacking. It follows a counterclockwise loop, starting and finishing near the Boys and Girls Club.

-Tees are spacious. They are concrete pads with a rubber mat off the front end, allowing you to tee off your preferred surface. Tee signs are large and provide distance to each basket location. Most holes have 3-4 basket positions.

-Holes are 250-320 ft, which is appropriate given the space available. Baskets are well placed, with none too close to the road, walking paths, or fences. The design makes good use of the trees and slopes. Hole 1 is a tunnel shot of 300 feet.

-No holes have wow factor or a unique line required, but there aren't any bad holes, either.

-There's a Community Supported Shelters (homeless camp) across the street from the 6th hole. The situation is much better than before the camp was built, but there are still plenty of transients in the park.

-Google Maps may not take you to the parking lot near the first tee. Map to the Boys and Girls Club of Emerald Valley for proper directions.

-This course is a nice place to practice or to stop by for a quick 9, but it's not going to knock your socks off. Alton Baker, Stewart Pond, or Dexter Park are all good nearby options for a challenging 18 holes.

Nice long cement tee pads with extra run up and follow through matting. Nice brand new looking tee signs with A and B basket placements. Hole 1 is a cool little tunnel shot, and the holes have good tree placements to add some obstacles. They seem to mow regularly

The fairways are pretty mushy and muddy. There's a lot of pedestrians that seem to not have much disc golf awareness. Also homeless people throughout the park.

All in all it's not a bad warm up round for one of the other eugene courses. It's basically your typical 9 hole worth the stop but not destination

For being a loop in a city park, the fairways are pretty interesting. Great course to learn on.

Muddy in winter (hello we live in Oregon), might be too easy for intermediate players. Be careful of people walking on path.

Learned to play on this course. Love it. For intermediate players most holes are birdie territory, but I think it offers just enough obstacles to keep things interesting.

Busy park for non-disc activities as well, people can be dangerously oblivious. Because of the path the course weaves around it is hard to say this is a good learning course. The risk of hitting someone is high.

The course is heavily used because of its location in a somewhat busy part of Eugene. Lots of people use the part apart from golfers. Its an older course that was probably fine as far as length goes when it was new but as courses got longer and better Westmoreland was stuck; hemmed in by the city. Now its almost laughably short in comparison to more modern courses. A couple holes have been lengthened recently, which has helped. Its maintained like you'd expect a city park to be. Grass, some interesting/challenging trees here and there, but nothing that you could lose a disc in. Graffiti on the info plaques but they're still readable. It can get busy and not everybody is into/aware of letting people play through. When its clear, though, a single can play a few rounds in a short amount of time. I've had the majority of my aces on this course.

Very short holes, most under 300 feet.
Often crowded with few places to sit, and often a long line at hole 1.
Very slow play in most times due to relative skill level of most of the people in the park. Have spent an hour and a half playing 9 holes on a short course before.
Very poor drainage making the park mostly unplayable in late fall/winter/early spring.
Most shots are park and Putt resulting in mostly birdies.

This is the only course in Eugene aside from Alton Baker which is pay to play.
If you enjoyed this give Dexter and Cottage Grove a look as they are the next step in playing and will most likely give you new goals and challenges to learn.

The course plays through a nice grassy city park. There isn't much elevation, a couple tiny slopes add a little bit of roll away potential. There aren't a ton of trees, but they're used fairly well to protect some of the pins and make players be at least a little creative in how they get to the pin. The first hole is a fun tunnel shot, and a couple others make you choose whether you're going over the smaller trees or trying to keep it under the canopy. The signage is plenty good to find your way around, and there seem to be a ton of locals around if you need some extra help finding the next tee. The multiple tees offer a little extra variety for locals playing here regularly.

The course isn't all that safe. There is a walking path in play that can easily lead to conflict with other park users. Several spots have overlapping fairways or tees in the landing zone of other holes, I hate seeing that and it's even worse on beginner friendly courses where the average accuracy is going to be worse.

The course is pretty open overall, a hyzer is an option on almost all the holes and the scattered trees aren't enough to make it difficult to recover from bad drives. The holes are fairly short overall and the couple slightly longer shots still aren't all that interesting.

This is a great beginner course, with reasonable lengths and no punishment for errant throws. Experienced players won't find much challenge or variety here, though it is a decent place to work on rollers with nice short mowed grass. I wouldn't go out of your way for this one, there just isn't a whole lot of excitement here.

Situated in a beautiful city park in the middle of Eugene. The flow of the course is awesome. Hole one you throw straight through a row of trees with the basket sitting right between the last row. The course is actually set up really well with the land that it uses. It can get a tad bit busy being the only course in city limits. Matter of fact there was a wait time at every tee when I played. It was fine I enjoyed the company I had so I was in no rush. There are multiple pin locations. All were in position A when I played. I will definitely play this course again in the summer.

This is the closest course to my house making it my home course. It is a perfect practice course to work on your game and test new discs. parking is easy and its close to stores. It can get packed and there may be bums, but normally everybody is really chill and i meet a new friend every time!

This is my home course. I play it all the time. As much as I love this course, there's plenty of trash to talk about it. Yes, pedestrians and non-golfers can pose an issue, but it's not really out of control, they just make you wait an extra minute or so for them to get out of the way. This course is like a training ground for me. There aren't really any technical shots or long holes, just 8 wide open drives and one tree-tunnel fairway. I love this course, I just wish I didn't get asked for change, lighter, drinks, etc. Every time I showed up

Concrete tee pads. Baskets are in good shape. Close (Eugene & Springfield). Nice open short course (great for beginners). Can be played relatively quickly (if you go early).

Very poor conditions when wet (Nov-May). Some holes become unplayable. Can get crowded in the afternoon/evenings when the weather's nice. May find a few homeless folks sleeping under trees if you get their before 9 am. Never had any beef, just hate to wake someone up when their sleeping. May not be challenging enough for advanced players (I wouldn't know).

I'm a novice, so I still find this course fun. It's downtown, so I can get there quick and play 9 holes in 35-45 minutes. I often play twice. If you don't mind getting there in the morning, it's rare to have to wait for anyone. Afternoon or evening when the weather's good can sometimes cause a line up, but most everyone is friendly so it's not bad.

Westmoreland is the only disc golf course in the City of Eugene. It is well loved and has been since 1988. Unfortunately the park is so small that a re-design to keep up with modern players and equipment is not possible. All of the holes are short and there are not enough design elements in the park to make the course all that interesting. It is truly a pitch and putt course and a great place to practice your short game. Poor drainage over a large part of the course make it very unpleasant in rainy periods, some teepads actually under water, and a LOT of mud.

Because of the lack of courses in Eugene and the beginner friendly nature of this course it suffers from overcrowding and overuse. The course plays at, along and over a walking jogging path, and a sidewalk and busy road are also in danger of being in play. With both of these things being said it's pretty amazing that there aren't more conflicts and dangerous situations. For the most part, common sense and safety prevail. Westmoreland is sort of stuck in the past and a little over-loved. Not a destination course, but good for beginners looking for a course in town.

short. theres not a hole on this course over 420ft. it can get pretty swampy as well. on nice days expect to wait in line for a little while.

all in all this is a great little course thats well maintained. I play here almost everyday, and love it. its not the most challenging course ever, but if you need your disc golf fix, its not far from home.

Small pitch-and-putt course. Drivers are completely unnecessary; bring your midrange and putters and work on the short game. I would also recommend trying to play at off-peak hours, unless you're okay with crowds.

Westmoreland is a course designed for newer players in mind at least that is what it has become. Originally put in the ground in 1988, I can image this course was a little harder throwing Aviars and XD's unfortunately disc technology has made this course closer to a pitch and putt. Still there is some fun little throws and no glaring design flaws holding it back too much. The course plays around an open field closer to the trees and has some entertaining shots. Hole one is an easy yet fun tunnel shot with a giant road sign style mandatory sign, pretty funny actually. This is also one of the only courses that has a practice basket and the around nine game metal plate on the top and several standing areas for the game, very neat! Also there are multiple pins that mix it up for frequent players.

No major flaws other than being short and not challenging. I did have a major problem with all of the garbage and vandalism found all over the course, it just looks as though there isn't a local club looking after it very well or at all. Holes six and seven has uneven tee pads, six was slanting uphill and seven was slanting downhill.

I was playing at about noon on a Thursday and the course was already packed with people, kind of crazy, can't imagine what a beautiful Summer Saturday would look like! This isn't a must play and is actually pretty vanilla but it is a short course perfect for travelers looking to stretch theirs legs or course baggers like myself as you can get a fairly quick nine that isn't too bad.

Short, par-3 course that's great for beginners or people who want to work on their short game. Nice, roomy, concrete teepads and baskets with varied pin locations. Everything is well marked and signage seems to be pretty accurate.

During the off-season it becomes very marshy. The course also isn't manicured very well or often so when the nice weather rolls in, grass lengths can be up to 4 feet in some areas which makes it difficult to locate discs. This does tend to improve as the season goes on.

There is an ever-increasing number of players in the area and it's reflected by large wait-times at the course. Often times there is a 5-10 minute wait in between drives during peak times.

Because it's a beginner-friendly course, many players are unaware of common etiquette. I've had a couple discs picked up and stolen literally in front of my eyes. The most recent time I played here I was struck on the top of the head with a distance driver with no warning.

Also, because trees are fairly sparse it gets moderately windy a lot of the time.
