Reading your responses has reminded me of my own bias. I've always hated the hard plastics. My experiences are primarily with the softer premium plastics. They do seem more durable to me now than they were in the past.

Is breaking in and cycling discs becoming a thing of the past? The quality of plastics have improved dramatically in the past few years, and this seems true for all the major manufacturers. Additionally, the manufacturers and the buying public seem to be favoring these more durable and more...

It would be logical to assume that, but I bet this disc junky adds more of everything else to compensate. The promise of new plastic is irresistable.

I occasionally play with an octagenarian. He throws understable 130g drivers and breaks 300' regularly. I don't know how he does it. Time to accept my new reality. My distance drivers barely, and I do mean barely, go further than my 7 speeds. My game is now about upshots, putting and playing for par. I'll hang on to a couple of distance drivers for windy days, but I just traded in 3 and acquired a new mid.
