It's crazy when you look at the tournaments he's played so far this year. With the exception of the Memorial and St. Jude where he placed second in both, he's won every tournament he's entered. Just totally dominant wow.
Same here.
I'm loving these discs for huge hyzers and anhyzers, but I'm not throwing them for hyzer flip distance like I do my Destroyers because I'm not used to throwing a 150 class disc like that. I'm just that much more comfortable with my 170g Destroyers.
I don't know if I want to work on...
I decided to throw my Photon a bit in the field after a round yesterday, and the results were pretty surprising.
I'm really dialing in on these discs. I had a hard time at first with the lighter weights, and struggled to get any distance with them. They were falling well short of my Destroyers...
I played a round with the Photons (154g and 164g) on a longer, more open course (all 27 at Token Creek). There are many 400' + and 500' holes on this course, and it was very windy today (gusts of 25 mph).
The Photons still didn't go farther than my Destroyers but with some adjustments I'm...
The "game changer" part is the fact that MVP can mold these down into lower weights and still get a consistent flight pattern with healthy fade at the end of the flight. I think that is pretty exceptional, and might be a game changer down the road, to some extent. I'm not saying this is going to...
I threw two Photons today, a 154g and a 164g. They were both surprisingly overstable - no turn whatsoever unless I was throwing with a little wind.
I expected them to be more like seasoned Destroyers, but they're more like fresh overstable Destroyers.
I have a King in the bag - it is extremely understable. Even with a big tailwind, I have to hyzer flip it to give it even a chance to go straight. It's the disc I can get to flip high in the air, so it has the potential to go farther than any other disc I have.
On the other hand, while it's...
That's a bummer dude.
I've got some extra star Destroyers I bought a year or so ago that are pretty beefy. I've also got two champs with the DX stamp I bought about a year or so ago too. Or maybe it was two years. All unthrown.
In any case, if you want to take a look at them, I'm willing to...
That is awesome.
Here is another request of mine.
I want to see a consortium of disc golf park managers. The city, the county, and whoever is in charge of Marshall should communicate with another and plan.
There should be one course per year that is chosen to stay open through the winter, or...
I have my gripes about the city's handling of the courses. If I recall correctly, there was a bit of a shakeup when the person who was in charge of the courses quit. As I understand it, he got disc golf. When he left, there was a bit of a vacuum. I'd love to see someone who really understands...
The top courses being private has nothing to do with them being both top courses and pay to play. The fact remains: top courses are pay to play, private or otherwise.
And sure, I wish we had the same kind of disc golf culture that Charlotte has. People move to that area for the disc golf alone...
Total population of Sheboygan as of 2014: 49,288. And its about an hour away from Milwaukee, so you're not going to get an appreciable amount of traffic there.
Total population of Madison metro area: 568,593.
So yeah, you're not getting as much traffic in Sheboygan as we get here. Period...
One of the best things about this sport is that it's free? Is that really what you think? Because I can name many things about this sport that rank in front of the fact that it is free to play.
Also, is $45 really that much money to ask? It's still a very very affordable sport, and as has been...
I told a friend to get an FAF Firebird back when they were on the shelf. I was having a ton of success using it as a thumber disc. He bought one, and couldn't flip it over no matter what. It just wouldn't pan out. I could get a nice slow pan for some good d with it, but it was just too much for...
