When I originally checked into the Hospital, my kidney Dr. said I should have died. I told him, "Congratulations Doc, you just met a stubborn Ozark Hillbilly."
Thanks everyone! I was a little sore this morning, but it did feel good to get out and stumble around the course. Now the weather is turning bad again, but I'm watching the skies for another round!!!
I started playing DG in 2004. I also had been Road Cycling that long, as well. Aug. 9th, 2020, I walked into the Clinic at my local hospital. I had been feeling absolutely terrible. Within an hour I was being wheeled into the Critical care unit! To make a long story short, I had suffered total...
I didn't get to choose my layoff. Torn Achilles Tendon. Just coming back from a 2 year off. I decided to just play with putters for the next few weeks to try and learn the proper way. No speed 13's for me for awhile.

Putter Paradise
Compact. Easy to find. Various challenges.
Tee signs are either missing or so faded to be unreadable, but with a little thinking, the sequence can be figured out. School days are trying.
With the short holes, this is a perfect course to introduce a new player to or take your...
I am murder on shoes. They have a hard time lasting with me, so I began looking for something a bit "off the beaten" path. Picked up a pair of Skechers Afterburns.
Played a round in them and they seem to be a pretty good shoe, but time will tell. The memory foam seems to work for now.
I'm a bit late to the party, but I ordered mine this morning. And may dash the 50 miles to a store for the $10 Medium this weekend after my first outing in 2 years!! (torn Achilles tendons suck)
I started discing down to work on my throwing form. The only 300' driver I had that was 6 or lower speed was my Leopard. Lost it in the undergrowth on the 18th of my local Muni. Lucky I had bought another one on Ebite and it was delivered the next day. The day after that, I get a phone call, "I...
Thanks KC, that sounds like advice I'll keep in mind. I even hit a nice 280' drive today!! I was thinking about keeping the weight down int the 160 and below range. So far all RHBH for the time being. Started to try a RHFH but the shoulder warned me off that.
I'm a local, born and raised. Used to play there when it was called Oakmont with a ball and club. Didn't know it was a disc course until this morning. Love that place. Gonna make it a regular stop.
Thanks for the well wishes folks. Can't say how good it feels to finally get back out there. This...
I got started with Disc Golf several years ago and fell in love with it. A bit over 2 years ago, I suffered a non-golf related torn rotator cuff on the throwing arm. I seriously thought my golfing days were over before they really began, I'm now 50 and healing at my age is an iffy proposition...

What a course!
Can't say any more than what has already been stated. I used to play this course when it was a Ball Golf course. Brought back a lot of memories while I was playing. Great use of elevated pads and loved the doglegs.
Back in the day this course was named "Oakmont", but we called it...
Had to be in the office at 6 AM til 3 PM and it just started snowing here in Branson MO.
But since I was only here in case of emergencies and there were none, I got to do a whole butt load of drills and watched a ton of videos.
Happy T-day y'all from the Ozarks!!!!!!
