Right on. I think I need to find some new guys to play with. The two guys I play regularly with have recently started to really get on my nerves. When they are not playing well (which is most of the time since we are all hacks)they throw tanturms, blindly huck their discs, scream "I hate this...
I quit using the runup but still use an X-step and have seen both distance and accuracy increase as my form is improving. I'm 46 years old now and I think it also reduces my chances of injury. AND you'll never hear me complain about short tee boxes again!
Help
Okay I feel like a moron. I'm trying to post a video and not having any luck. I tried clicking on the yourube icon and pasting the URL between the youtube brackets and no luck. Also no luck pasting the embed code there either. One or the other of these has always worked on other sites...
I'm fairly new to disc golf and am really surprised to find "purist" who would diss someone for using a legal and often very effective shot. I always considered disc golfers laid back types just looking to have a good time playing an unconventional sport, not judgemental holier than thou types...
Question from a n00b:
If the guy had thrown a putter on that hole after explaining to his bro that he was discing down to improve his form and it flew 150 ft. or less would you have laughed at him any less?
OK lets say it's Chuck Norris AND Amadeus vs. Ditka and Ditka plays with a paper plate and throws only with his feet by gripping with his toes while in a handstand...
.........I gotta go with Ditka by 12 strokes. :)
Looks like a perfect time to practice throwing your fastest, sharpest distance drivers at high speed from short range straight at the center post! That's definitely a situation where discing UP would produce better results.
