A nice little course
Good use of a small, urban park. The first holes play along the creek and three holes use a sled hill.
Hole 6 is dead along the creek with lots of trees. It looked impossible so I skipped it. The holes tended to be short (200 feet) and open.
I assume you could deuce the...

12 is better than 9
The signs had pictures that 'starred' the baskets. There is a softball field but it didn't come into play with the disc course.
Nothing bad. The topography was flat but you can't have everything.
This was my kinda course: in town but bucolic and just the right mix of distance...

Not a showplace
Easy to navigate in a nice setting. You could see water from 3 holes but it would take a really bad shot to wet a disc. I was there in early spring, Limited foliage made it easy to find discs in the rough. Very sandy-mud and standing water are unlikely.
Laminated paper signs...

Kids Kourse
Newer numbered baskets. No tees. I just played from basket to basket. This makes a reverse play easy.
Short holes for adults.
It's good to have a course in a small town that is easily accessible to kids. There would be enough room to have 18 conventional length holes with marked tees...

Where are the tees?
I nice location next to Arctic Springs Supper Club and a walking trail. All 6 baskets are intact.
Tee signs for 3,5 and 6. I found 6 baskets but one is in an unmowed area near the swamp. I don't know why it's been neglected.
In a small park near a Supper Club. It would be a...

Hidden holes
A well maintained course in a nice city park for 6 holes.
There is no sign or clue for holes 2-5 that ate in the woods. 2 was the only woods-hole with a tee sign. I found another tee pad but it wasn't apparent which hole it belonged to. I didn't even play holes 3,4,5. There were a...

Beautiful place to lose discs
Beautiful park surrounding a deep diving lake. Most of the holes are on a ridge with a view.
Mowed fairway is 10 wide surrounded by tall weeds and brush. One hole is across a bay from the tee. That would be OK except the brush isn't mowed on the basket side. No tees...

Growing village course
A course in the southwest corner of the village of LaFarge on the banks of the Kickapoo River with newly installed tee markers. The first eight holes are in Sandmire Memorial Park. Holes 9-12 are in a low wooded area in the Kickapoo River flood plain.
It would be nice if...

Disc golf in a small town park
A well maintained course in the tiny village of Melrose Is easy to follow and the baskets are clearly marked that plays around 3 fenced ball diamonds, a pool and 3 picnic shelters.
The first 3 fairways are 30 feet wide and bounded on both sides by fences. All the...

Coulee Delight
beautiful scenery. Well marked and maintained. Plenty of elevation especially hole 5 from the top of a sled hill.
Only 6 holes
There should be room for the Mauston Kiwanis to add three more tees up the hill.

Most played course in SW WI
Lightly wooded with elevation on most holes next to Onalaska High. Quick to play. This is the Frolf Mecca for SW Wisconsin. Leagues and disc commerce going on.
The holes tend to be shorter and heavily played.
This course accommodates heavy play traffic even during...

No longer in service
Easy to find in the city of Sparta and along the scenic LaCrosse River.
Only 5 baskets are visible. The parks department assured me the other 13 are out in the woods somewhere but they quit maintaining them. No tees are visible.
I hope they begin to maintain this course again.

Wooded Hell
Free to play. Marked tees and baskets
Very remote and difficult to find in a campground on a US Army Fort. 10 foot wide mowed fairway surrounded by brush, brambles and red pine. Yes, I lost a disc.
There's a much better course three miles away at the Sparta Middle School.
