Throw them before you unload them. That pearly blue, even inked up, would make an attractive thrower. A Champion Shark is basically like a lightly seasoned Roc that stays that way for a looooooong time. In premium plastic that can take a tree hit.
The Tursas is my favorite understable disc. Ever. Great combo of glide and turn. When I throw this thing forehand on glidey anhyzers, I feel like a magician.
We can't see it unless we are in the group and I can't tell what group it is. Can you just download the picture and then post it?
Also, does anyone know if there is a specific marking or stamp for the 1.8 mold variation on Millenium and/or Sirius plastic? I know they are out there, too.
More of a question than a suggestion, as I'm sure the Proline plastic is nice. But have you tried the Discmania GM (Gremlin)? I heard it's the same mold as the old Innova Gremlin. Plastic is obviously a different blend but they are really easy to find (cheap).
Just threw the CD2 for the first time ever after picking one up in a mystery box. Holy guacamole this disc is good. Don’t think I’ve ever thrown a disc that flies with this combination of glide, stability and range in a c-line/champion plastic when new. Feels amazing in the hand, so...
Sooooo...these are understable/stable/overstable? I have a light S-line coming Monday, was curious of what people are thinking of them now that they've been out for a while. I read the whole thread; Do they need a good beat-in to fly like the numbers suggest or did you guys give up on them?
Sharks!
I'm going to say the pearly ones, heavy, in good shape with no ink, can pull north of $30. I've paid $40-45 for exceptionally pretty ones. Also, the really gummy ones are prized throwers but they don't have a very large fanbase these days with all the good mid options currently on...
I found a couple of the 1.8 micro-bead run QMSes while rummaging through boxes at my local shop. They are essentially what the Discmania MD2 was, before they switched that disc to a domey San Marino top. The c-line QMSd2 run 1.8. That's a mouth full. But a great disc.
I do most of my drives forehand but I don't have a ton of snap, and I don't get to play as often as I used to. I am usually somewhere between a Discmania FD, Teebird, or Escape. But whenever I haven't played for a while, I take the Diamond out and just work on snapping it and getting my arm...
P and D line MD2s are readily available from a number of sources. eBay has both. They feel very similar in hand and will probably serve the same purpose for anyone looking to break one in to a slight turnover mid. IMHO the MD2 can do everything as good or better than the MD3 anyway. *fire...
