Same. My disc collection is expansive enough that I'm not getting new discs to fill a particular slot in the bag. So whenever I'm throwing a new disc (or even an old one that I haven't used in a while), if it doesn't fly the way I expect/want, I'll just use it for what it is, not for what I want...
I walk off the course all the time when I'm playing solo. Some days I'm just not feeling it and would rather use my time for other things, so I bail.
I usually only do this on my home course because the time investment in getting there is only about 15 minutes round trip, and the course itself...
Keep in mind, that if you're going up to Seneca or Patapsco, you're going to have to take the beltway. If you time it wrong, that can be a very long trip.
Bluemont is great if you can get there in the middle of a weekday when it's less crowded.
