This probably won't make a lot of sense, but here goes.
When I do field work, I take my bag and maybe a few extra to throw. My form is not the best, when throwing a 11 speed disc (krait, wraith) I have to throw hard just to get to 300'. Throwing a slower disc (breakout, river, diamond) I...
Still working on my driving in the field. Finally hit 340 and 360, though I haven't been able to repeat it yet. I've been trying to brace and rotate around my center axis. I read where the weight shift should be timed with the disc coming across the body. Is this correct?
Went out to the range and worked on stand still and not turning around. Then played a quick 9 hole. Thanks for the advice. I still had the same distance without turning around so that was a help. I also was able to throw discs that were flipping over on me, straighter and longer. So that...
yeah, i really try and torque the bejeebees out of discs to get distance. When I slowed down with the mids, i got a lot more distance. My form sucks for sure. I watch the vids and read the advice and take to the field. It's hard work for me when it comes time for the plastic to hit the...
Went out to practice throws today at the football field. I've heard over and over, throw mid-range for practice. So, I cranked them out, only they would fly out, flatten, and go right, into the ground 150' out. What?! I threw the Teebirds and Eagle 300', Vulcan 300', Valks same thing...
I'm carrying paper and pen, i'd also like to record what disc i used also. But that's not that important as keeping an accurate score. IF i had a smart phone that i could put a golf app on I'd use that.
A friend and I were playing this week and trying to keep score at the same time. What's the best way to keep a tally of the game? I really don't want to carry a piece of paper. It be handy to have a scorecard that was stiff enough to write on and maybe able to wipe clean after use.
Any ideas?
It would be nice if someone would break down the form the way some folks have done with ball golf swings. Sidewinder has heavy intense info, but I just don't really always understand what he's talking about. HeavyDisc's blog has some really nice vids.
I had same experience with Innova Factory store. I've gotten great discs, but 3 really crappy ones, a tern and two valkyries. The rest have been great! I still buy from them and recommend them to others.
I do love to see the disc fly. Where I play, getting to the basket in two shots is good play. Four holes are under 280', where the rest are 300 to 425 and wide open. I have parred and birdied most of the holes, unfortunately I've also boogied those same holes too! If the game was easy then...
