Nice enough
A number of well-designed holes makes this course a bit above average. It contains a nice balance of woods (precision) vs. fields (power & control). A bit of elevation change on a couple of holes was nice as well. Kind of cool teeing off on hole #1 on the lawn in front of a...

A good workout
As many other reviewers have said, it's somewhat monotonous, but that didn't bother me. It's a great chance to work on your drives, and you really don't get punished for a bad throw, except if you put one over the dreaded fence.
The fact that the course is open and large means...

Will be more fun in the future
Interesting location (starts out near a highway overpass, but quickly goes into deep woods), very convenient to downtown Ann Arbor, which is awesome.
The park itself is really pretty, since it runs along the Huron River, but there are no water holes, so there's...

One of the best in Michigan
Incredible natural beauty. Immensely challenging and fun. 24 holes, with every kind of variety you can think of.
In the old days this course had one flaw, which was the dirt holes they used as tee pads. Thankfully, those days are past and they've got concrete...

Quite disappointing
Very long, so it's good for those who like to really haul off and throw it. I think this course might be a lot of fun once you know it very well, but it's definitely unfriendly to newcomers.
Poor signage. In many cases, it's really impossible to figure out where the basket...

Thick woods, long holes
Dense woods intermixed with wide open, very long holes. Lots of steep hills means good opportunities for practicing uphill and downhill throws.
This course is long, with the white tee of the third hole being over 700 ft. from the basket, and a few other holes being...

Great course with surprising amount of hills
Course itself is 18 holes, most very fun. Surprising amount of steep hills for southeast Michigan - you'll be throwing uphill and downhill at times. Course includes warm-up hole and nice clubhouse with bathroom.
Everything is well-marked - if...

Not a lot of variety
As others have said, good for those who like to haul off and throw as hard as they can. It's nice not having to worry about pesky trees, or aiming.
Some holes are completely bare except for a clump of palm trees and bushes right by the hole. This means drives can be huge...

A fatal flaw
The one highlight hole truly is spectacular. It offers a view that you'd be hard pressed to match just about anywhere - a spectacular vista of Lake Charlevoix.
Beyond that, there's some good variety and a couple of interesting holes, but...
The one time I played this course, my...

Not good
It's something to play, I guess.
I played here with a friend a few years ago, and it was almost impossible to figure out where the holes were. It's inside of the main courtyard of a small college campus, so unless you go during the off-hours, be prepared to dodge students walking...

Fantastic - one of the best in the state
18 holes plus 6 bonus. Lots of variety, many chances to go for the huge drive mixed with holes that require a high level of precision. Lots of chances for birdies, but a bad throw can put you into a fight to avoid bogie (or worse).
This course (along...

Best course in Michigan
18 holes plus 6 bonus holes. Great variety. Long straight open holes that just beg for a monster drive, and shorter sharply curved holes that require a lot of precision. There are many tunnels of trees, and a large swamp that forces you to be conservative (or you lose...
