Not that great...
Short course near camping areas.
Hole #s 1 & 2 are horribly grown up and discs could easily get lost. The fairways are too tight.
My nephew, the perpetual newbie, struggled mightily with the tight fairways and he was obviously frustrated.
Not technically difficult. Even if you...

Nice surprise
A nice but short course, and within walking distance of our camper. Not too difficult but offers the opportunity to stretch out the old throwing arm. Obstacles (trees) make the holes interesting. The hilly topography adds a nice touch as well.
The grass has only been mowed 1-2...

I hoped for better...
What a great course with so much potential. I would not hesitate to play it again, if and when I'm back in the area. (Despite some of my cons)
1) Of course, grass tees are a definite negative. Sure, you may be installing concrete tees in the future but I can't put...

Great course, but.....
I travel and was advised to throw this course. Loved this course. Reminds me of the good ol' days when the fairways zig zagged through the trees and did not pander to young long arms. I found it easy to score well, as long as I didn't hit a tree. I used to have a 20 hole...

Darn! So much potential....
I agree with dr.chainslove and I do believe this will be a great course in the future especially if there is a club or a dedicated group of local golfers to beat back the rough (perhaps I'll take part).
I agree with dr.chainslove - not sure if I could have said it...

hopefully they're not done
with some work it will be a nice little course. great for beginners. good winter views over green river. great tees
2-5-18. Much better now
very muddy. bring extra shoes for later. mounds of dirt on 2, 4 and 5. mud around tees. wood piles that need to be cleared...

Surprising
Surprisingly nice little course with a variety of throws needed.
The best thing is that it is only 26 miles from where I live and until the Shelbyville course goes in it is the closest course to me.
And, even better, I ACED #6 the first time I threw there.
The tees were pretty bad but...

I expected more....
Great, varied fairways. Grass well mowed and very little underbrush. Would love to take some friends there. It truly is a beautiful layout.
There was some confusion at first when someone was trying to explain the blue or white tees on the blue course and the blue and white...

More work needed!
Love the changes. What a beautiful course.
I truly appreciate the efforts that have gone into this redesign. I will return and bring others with me....Nothing like camping within throwing distance of #10 or #11.
I can not give it more than a 3 as this course has 2 features that...

Why bother?
It had baskets and it had tees
There is no way this is a 2 star course. 1 maybe but not 2. The tees are small. The baskets are mis-numbered and the design is UNINSPIRED. The 1st basket has #2 on it and it continues from there. What should be #4's basket has the number 5 on it but...

I Liked It
Challenging course but made more so by the stiff wind blowing off of the lake. There were a good mix of straight, hyzer and anhyzer throws needed. Worth the trip especially if you combine it with a run over to Owensboro.
It does need some attention by the park. The signage could be...
very late reply
Dave did design the course at Taylorsville Lake State Park and we have been trying to get it installed now for like 7-8 years!!!! The State just can't seem to give us final free reign. They want the course to be ADA compliant! I am at a loss as to how you make a disc golf course...
