I love my roadrunners. I normally throw max weight star, but recently lost my broken in one and bought an Echo* to replace it. It flies just like the stars when new but I'm hoping to get it back into it's sweet spot quick. I've thrown a buddies champion RR and it had quite a bit more stability...
Newest run of PWP is almost yellow/brown around the rim. Has anybody else received any of these? Plastic feels similar to previous runs but doesn't look as nice.
This. I throw in a similar range and love Teebirds. I would recommend the same - start with a high 160's Star TB. That's my go-to. I would also strongly recommend a 175 DX TB (plus they're so cheap!) and maybe even a 175 champ TB for stronger headwinds.
I was the same way and actually went to the Wizard. They break in really well - especially the organics. The nice thing about being stable is you can cycle them somewhat...do a couple of 1-disc rounds with that organic and it'll be nice and broken in.
On the flip side, if you prefer Aviars...
I used to bag a gator and love them, but my main mid is a Buzzz so the gator was replaced with the OS. They weren't different enough to carry both.
If I threw beaded mids I would definitely bag a gator but the Buzzz and OS feel better to me in hand. Both excellent discs, just a matter of...
I used a 167g star as one of my first drivers when I started and got hooked. I have since replaced it with a max weight star and use for US driver slot and rollers. Probably will always keep a roadrunner in the bag.
Is this true though? I have heard a lot of people saying if you want an OS buzzz to find a domey one, then a lot of people say to go flat. I have a domey Z Buzzz but got it used so I can't say for sure. Domey Z buzzzes are hard to find...they're all so flat.
My problem with D Buzzzes has been consistency. The mold was made for premium plastic...Z buzzzes are all beautiful and flat, where D's are all over the place. I would recommend an ESP if you want to wear it in (although that will still take a while..maybe an ESP Buzzz SS?), but buzzzes aren't...
