I really like the Neutron Waves in the 155 weight range but lately I have been throwing a 155 Star Tern because it is slightly more overstable. Mind you my max d is 340 if I was throwing around 400 I would probably just chuck Pro Destroyers for $10.

I like having the choice to grip the lettered part of the rim or the smooth part. Different weather conditions dictate which I choose. Seems like some of my older discraft discs had a crosshatch pattern across a quarter of the rim for that very reason.

Lat 64 Falchion is another underated stable fairway driver. No better or worse than any other options already given but I do like the opto plastic.

FYI Almost all of these discs can be purchased cheaper and in new condition from many different online sellers. I personally will pay between $8 and $10 shipped for the average disc advertised here on dgcr and thats in very good condition with a pic. My $.02.

I just ordered 2 plasma tangents off amazon because they were less than $10 shipped. I figured I needed the mvp version of a comet even tho I have 3 comets and don't even throw them. I usually make pretty good decisions when it comes to money but boy do I fail when it comes to disc purchases!

I throw neutron waves and plan on trying a proton for shots that need I a little more resistance to turning over. That said, I tried a neutron defy 158ish grams and it felt glideless and too overstable for a max d disc. I have the same issue with photons. Both probably ok for a control driver...
