I have a 173g TP Seer I cannot seem to take out of my bag! I wanted to replace it with a light GL River, but it hasn't happened.
I use the Seer as a longer midrange. When I put 70% power on it, it goes dead straight. A little more power and I can expect nice turn that will fade back a touch.
I...
I have many Maces.
My 175g purple Recycled Feldberg Maces are very overstable. They are as overstable as my Pains. They are domey.
My 178g milky white Opto Maces are overstable, but not as much as the Recycled ones. They are almost as stable as my Verdicts except that they fly in more of a "C"...
I believe McPro Roc3 throwers will be surprised how similar Zero Hard Maces are to the Roc3's. I have both, and I can tell you there is almost no difference in the shape of the disc. Zero Hard has a very similar feel to McPro except a tad harder and, in my opinion, more resilient.
Got a chance to compare my Opto vs Recycled Sparks.
Wow! Very different. Where my 171g Opto Sparks are 7 3 0 3, the 168g Recycled Sparks are 7 3.5 0 2... Honestly, they almost fly like different discs. The Optos are board-flat whereas the Recycled have a slight dome. However, they feel very...
I use my 171g black sparkle Opto Scythe for those long forehands I need reliable late fade. My Scythe flies similar to my 173g TP Boatman... except for perhaps a tick more HSS and a bit less glide.
The Scythe fits perfectly in my hand while forehanding. I really can't see me taking it out of my...
Hmmm... Yeah, a Truth shouldn't be more understable than a Buzzz.
I have a pair of these and they seem plenty stable: https://www.dynamicdiscs.net/Dynamic-Discs-Clear-Lucid-Truth-Eric-McCabe-p/6218.htm
I see what you're saying. I usually don't throw 80-100% unless driving or I need to disc down in order to not go too far. My point was that many people throw these midranges at max power and see turn on the disc.
My 171g yellow Opto Sparks are incredibly overstable! Seriously... They fly AS OVERSTABLE as my 175g purple flake Opto XXXs. They fly more overstable than my Banshees or Firebirds.
My Sparks are board-flat. They have very little glide. They begin to fade about 1/3 the way through their flight...
I find that many people who review midrange discs are throwing 80-100% and base their critiques on those power levels.
When I throw my 177g clear Lucid Truth approximately 220', they have no turn and begin to steadily fade around 2/3 through their flight. At 280' power, they fly very straight...
