The Hills Are Alive With Ching
In the mostly flat North Texas landcape, the elevation changes really set this course apart, especially since it's not out in the middle of nowhere. I've been playing for almost five years in DFW, and only recently found out about Turner Park. I was amazed at the...
So in the group that I play with, I'm the only one who throws any 150 weight class discs. One is a Discraft Surge EliteX, the other is a Champion Valkyrie. They're twitchy, but if the wind is right, I can get great distance from my average arm.
But the weights that I see in the the Blizzard...
Hard to beat an Aviar. My favorite is a DX, 180g, and a little worn. A close second would be a Soft Banger GT, but only for short range putts. I just can't get a consistent throw outside of 50'.
I just use plain old paper & pencil. It's faster, I can scribble any notes if I have to, and I usually enter my score somewhere else later anyway (like maybe dgcoursereview.com, perhaps!). Plus, I don't want to have to keep getting my phone in and out of my bag all day.

While most...
My security blanket from about 175 ft in is an Innova Champion Spider. It's predictable and stable, but it will hold an anny line with enough snap. It's also my putter in the wind.
Putter: Aviar DX 175+
Midrange: Shark DX 180
Fairway: Leopard Champ 172
Driver: Vulcan Star 160
For me, I can throw multiple types of shots with all of these. Although, if there's much wind, I'm screwed with the Vulcan.
I think I'd agree with you on Harry Myers. A close second might be Bill Allen Memorial Park in The Colony. The more I play it, the more I like it. It's got just about everything, except for decent tee pads.
If you REALLY wanted to show someone from out of town what DG in Texas can be like, you...
