    Which Driver Should I use?

Good for you for taking up the game. It is a great fun way to get exercise. I wore a pedometer and played around of disc golf and at the end of the round, I had walked around 3.5 miles. Obviously that distance will vary course to course and how straight you throw, but keep it up and those 50...

    Difficult Woods Courses

I have to throw in my 2 cents worth for East Roswell Park. Trees are in play for every hole. Tough but fair. 3 tee locations- only one concrete, though.

    the Roller...

If you don't have a roller in your arsenal, you are potentially costing yourself a stroke or more each round. IMHO you should be able to throw it RHBH, RHFH (or opposite for lefties). Beat up discs are good. Soft ones are good if you just need to go a little ways and then have the disc die.

    When to start playing tournaments?

You should be made to feel welcome at all tournaments. Initially, you will be what I call "added cash". The winning players will appreciate your contribution. Do some doubles or singles tournaments to get a feel for the pressure on a lower scale. ADGO website has a tab for "local action"...

    When to start playing tournaments?

I agree with gvan. You could just about do a tournament a week in the ATL and GA area. Look up discgolfatlanta.com. Good luck!

    [Innova] Innova vs Discraft Poll

Can someone provide a brief explanation why the weights fluctuate as much as they do? It seems to me if either Discraft or Innova want to make a run of 175g Whatevers, all you do is accurately measure the plastic goop and properly cook it and viola, you now have a 175g disc. It seems very...

Why did osbogosly give Manor a 1/2 disc rating?

Look up East Roswell Park in Atlanta, GA. I would love to see what kind of rating he would give that course. All but a few holes are tight, heavily wooded, very challenging, but one of the best courses in our area.

    What would you teach kids?

I knew I wasn't going crazy. The ADGO website cover page shows August 15---- Scott, too late now, but you may want to get the webmaster to fix that.

Scott- did I brainfart??? I thought this was going on in August?

    What would you teach kids?

Hi Scott- I still have the day in my calendar to help, but won't know till around the first of August. One thing I always teach younger players is to change something if it doesn't work. If you throw it badly 10 times, you have to change something to get a different result. You are doing a...

    Sore Shoulder

Hopefully it is not what I am going through. I had a SLAP repair 3 years ago (bicep pulling away from tendon...2 screws + suchers to pull and support the muscle). Long story short, only backhands work ok for me, no sidearms, tomahawks etc. The surgeon called it tendonitis and told me to do...

    Sore Shoulder

Not to be too orthopedic on you, but there are potential issues in your shoulder which could be rotator cuff, impingement, or bicep tears. Ice and advil will help, but only mask the symptoms. I am about to have surgery in a couple of weeks to repair my shoulder from a SLAP repair that went bad...
