Potential New Course near Twin Cities - Need Your Help!

Last year, I had heard rumors of the city of Ramsey (MN) exploring the idea of constructing a disc golf course. I hadn't heard any news on it this year, so I inquired with the parks supervisor. He said that they are still wanting to make a course, but they need to work with a local citizen(s)...

    Long 9-hole courses?

A new 9-hole course opening near me in Blaine, MN (Lochness Park) will have three tee options from each hole. They claim to be the longest 9 hole course in the 5 state area, with the professional tees playing at an estimated 4,300 feet... which is almost a 500ft average(!) per hole.

Do you think my disc is defective?

Thanks for the responses. It's the Z plastic, so it is pretty slick when brand new. I didn't think of break-in -- that might help things too. I'll stick with it and see if it changes. You know how the Z is transparent -- there's a small, irregular, round area in the center of the disc that's...

Do you think my disc is defective?

OK, I'm a pretty new player, but I'm starting to get a consistent throw down. My discs are starting to fly exactly how the charts say they are supposed to fly. Recently I got an Avenger SS and an Xpress. The Avenger is awesome, flying just like I expected. The other 10 discs I have lying...

Disc golf at Bunker hill park in MN

Checked out this course today on my lunch break. Played 6 of the 9 holes. There's some construction going on near 4, 5, and 6, so I didn't play those. Hopefully they'll be done in a couple weeks. Good tees, great signage -- hole distances and colorful hole maps, along with "Next Tee"...

Any tips on how this beginner can start to improve?

You guys are amazing. Thanks for all the advice. I watched the Beato vids, and went to a soccer field trying to incorporate some of those techniques. I love the soccer field because it's 300' long (a good distance goal for me that I can't hit yet), and the net is the perfect size target from...

Any tips on how this beginner can start to improve?

OK, I just discovered disc golf a couple months ago, and I love it. I live near a beginner-friendly 9 hole course and I've played it 15-20 times now. I've decided that accuracy will gain you more strokes than an extra 50' of distance on this course, so that's what I've practiced. Now...
