I live somewhat close by, and am excited that the Salem area is going to get another course. I just found out they are working on the course this weekend (I'll be out of town :( )

A few weeks ago I was playing at a park in town and lost one on a wild throw. I thought that I found it, but 3 holes later, I realized I was playing with someone else's disc! (It was about the same color; same model) It had no name or number on it, so I tossed it in my bag, feeling kind of bad...
It's a neat idea, and the geek in me likes it. But it doesn't seem worth it at around $250 (plus there is no working commercial disc-golf adaptation).
Now I wish I hadn't dropped out of those electronics classes!
I've been thinking about trying to do this. You can find circular RFID tags for under $2. It's a decent reader that is hard to come by.
