Honestly, nothing. This course may be too challenging for beginners but will be fun nonetheless.
If you like this one check out Sipapu Ski Resort, Vadito, NM. Both world class, mountainous, challenging.
I hear you but...a 700 foot par 3 is not making it easy on myself! haha
And to the smart alecs...I know it has no bearing on a final "added up" score. You ever think someone could prefer to just keep track of the score by adding/subtracting from even, ending with looking at their score as X...
My course only has the pars (14 3s and 4 4s) on the Pro tees. Would I use the same pars at the amateur that I do at the pro? In other words, even though the tee is 50-100 feet closer, do I still treat it as a par 4?

Well...best in ABQ anyway...
-Very nice, thick paper, map/scorecards provided.
-Very fluid course. You can usually see the next tee from the pin you're at, and it's not far away. The map is more for seeing where the pin is at while at the tee rather than trying to find the next tee.
-Signs...

Who gave this less than 5?!?
Terrain: The terrain is amazing! Up and down the slopes, over the streams, through the woods, to the pin we go! I've never seen a better, more beautiful course.
Course layout: You could get through this course w/o a map if you wanted to. There is a nice flow...

Good Terrain, Bad Course
Nice Terrain: Grassy, Hilly, many big, full trees.
Confusing layout: It's a guessing game as to where the next tee is.
Bums, drug addicts, and more! Lots of bums, addicts, and transients have made this park their home or temporary motel. I was out with a buddy once...
