I got stranded in LA over the weekend so I'd like to play La Mirada. I don't have any discs with me. Where can I get some old plastic for me and a friend?

This course was designed in a small park
The course plays almost entirely in the woods, it will be well shaded in the summer and has a somewhat secluded feel in parts of the course.
The course will be great for red level players, forcing them to learn to throw lines...
There are 2 factors for me. The base level of innate skill and practice/preparation. I can control the latter, but not the former.
At every tournament, I play exactly as well as I should, based on my skill and preparation for the event. Sometimes I have prepared enough and sometimes I haven't...
I got to see Harold throwing a Foxbat last weekend. I asked him what it was because it had great forward fade on a straight line. I'm pretty set in mid-ranges too, but I'll probably try it out.
Comments like these throughout this thread make it seem like the local disc golfers are so jaded that they are now port of the problem. Sometimes new enthusiasm is what makes the difference. Maybe this new guy happens to talk to someone in the forestry department that hasn't been involved before...
A couple of months ago, I asked GG about this throw and how it was measured. They used Google Earth to measure from where it was thrown to the street where a kid said he picked it up. That's not the most reliable method I can think of =-) He said he was pretty sure it landed on that street...
I'd recommend going to discgolfatlanta.com for more regional info. As far as I know, there are no plans in the works. I has to start somewhere though. You can always get some advice and do some groundwork; gathering experienced players and designers as you go.
