Hey Everybody,
I am really trying to get my girlfriend into discgolf. She will eagerly play for nine holes when it is just her and I. However, she gets frustrated about halfway through a course and stops giving full effort. Then I have to drag her along counting down the holes all the while...
Due to the necessity of wooded holes discgolf is not yet tv friendly. Until there is some sort of video upgrade or something any shots of technical holes are underwhelming. Have you ever watched "discgolf monthly"? If it were an olympic sport the coverage would need to focus on big drives on...
Hope its not just me but I was wondering if anyone else imagines holes in the scenery around them. When I'm driving down the road, taking a walk, or just looking out the window I constantly make up holes out of what I am looking at. Narrow cuts through the trees or scenic hyzers around a park...
I follow the tour casually so I know the top guys and have heard of the second tier guys but couldn't really rank em. But here goes.
1. Ken Climo (Been playing well this year and I have a feeling)
2. Nate Doss (Just gets edged out by KC)
3. Nikko Locastro (He's about due)
4. David Feldberg...
Only went up one point, from 878 to 879. But I have only played in one sanctioned event since last update. I recently changed my work schedule so hopefully I will have more tourney opportunities to change that.

Solid but Uninspiring City Park Course
Gillies was the original Richmond Park and its heavy use shows, for good and bad. For positives it has good, if a little short, concrete tees, which is a rarity in courses around here unfortunately. Gillies also has a nice mix of open and wooded holes...
That's funny, I usually have the opposite problem. I am usually so nervous and wound up in my first round that I throw erratically off the tee and and shake when I putt. The I come out and cathc up in the second round.
I think one way to relax is to talk to people, especially friends, in...
I have played a lot of courses and plan to play many more. I am an intermediate player and have favorite and lesser loved courses. My question to everyone is do you have a course that for some reason you haven't been able to master?
Not necessarily a really difficult course, but one that...
Two and a half long years since a friend of mine who started at the same time got four or five before I did. The first was in a casual round at Mason County Parks' Beauty course in Ludington MI while on vacation in June. It kicked off a tree so it wasn't a bonafide ace. Then a few weeks later...
For a while there I kept on buying and buying discs, primarily ones with which I could practice my backhand. I have since slowed down my purchasing and started working more on my form instead. I probably have about 50 discs. I probably use about 10 in any given round but keep about 18 in my...
I want, scratch that, need a backhand. I also want to master the modified fan grip for my approach shots. I would like a better rating but that will come only after the more tangible improvements to my game. Finally, I want to play advanced in the pdga tournament at my home course next...
Alright, I will be honest here. I am a predominantly RHFH player off the tee and for anything involving distance. I would love a reliable backhand but I just don't have it right now.
My question to the DGCR nation is "is there a forehand inferiority complex?" Backhand drives look so...
Backhand Blues
I only started enjoying disc golf after I started throwing predominantly forehand. I started throwing backhand like everyone else and couldn't do a thing. I am still trying to get my backhand going but it is a real struggle.
So my answer is any kind of backhand, hyzer, anhy...
